RANDY GRAY PAINTING

Randy gave us an estimate of $7500 for the painting and touching up the ceilings in some of the rooms. We asked if he needed to use a primer since we were going to such light colors compared to what was already there. He said no, the paint was good enough. I came to inspect everyday and everyday he told me there was more and more that needed to be done. He asked if we wanted the wood work to be cleaned up and other such things. I gave him the okay on much of it, asking how much more it would be. He said he didn't think it would amount to too much more. I also had to have him put extra coats on some rooms because the dark colors previously on the walls were coming through our paint. Many rooms needed 3 coats and some needed 4 or 5 coats of paint! At the end, he charged us another $3000! We talked him down from some of it but were pretty ticked that the original estimate was way too low.
