The techs from Natura Lawn of America were friendly, knowledgeable & did everything up to my expectations. I am pleased that I chose this company to service my lawn. I will hire them again next year.

I have used this company for several years, and am very pleased with their products and their service. Prior to Naturalawn, I used other companies -- results were not good. Weeds thrived, the lawn was frequently burned by the chemicals and in general I wasn't happy. Naturalawn uses as natural a process as possible and the results are wonderful.

I feel like they have a lot of different people come out to the house so when I've asked them to do something with the lawn, it doesn't get passed along. We've had problem areas that appear to be chemical burns, but they claim we just need to water more.

I have always gotten extremely nice technicians that come to my house, they do a great job and care but the quality of the product and service is questionable.
This year was a complete nightmare and stressful and when I look at my lawn I want to cry.  Life is short - I would like to enjoy what i am paying for and in the past was complimented by neighbors as they inquired and considered using my service for their own lawns.
This year - my front yard is a nightmare.   I called early on in the very early summer when I started seeing patches.   It got worse so I asked to have the owner ck it as the tech was not sure and it was getting worse.   The owner came out and I found him to be very condesending and telling me it may be frog patch - rabbit urine or was not quite sure.    Basically did not nothing and left.   The next time I saw the tech it was much worse so I asked him what I should do which he thought it was a fungus that needed treatment.  He was kind enough to offer to treat for it and NOT do the $90.00 procedure that day.      I asked if it would be beneficial and he said it would green up and care for what is LEFT of the green grass.   I went ahead and did that, hoping it would support the lawn, it did not and now I have giant patches and normal areas of lush green grass that I've had over 12 years are now DIRT.   I apparently have summer patch which the owner, Dustin, explained that I must have and it has been a terrible year for it.   HE COULD HAVE helped treat it early when I pointed it out but he did not bother to do a thing.
After the $90.00 treatment and the tech assured me the owner would call - I never heard a WORD.    My lawn in the front got worse and worse and worse and finally I called again after missing ONE call while on vacation and all I got out of Dustin was - I DID CALL YOU BACK.    Yup, one time while I was out of town.   While driving on the highway he did call again and I explained I could not talk long while I was driving.   It was a nightmare... - NEVER AGAIN!    I'll spare you the details... but it was a nightmare trying to talk to this guy.     I then found out when I called NATURAL LAWN of AMERICA headquarters that they would work with me to resolve the issues and help get my lawn going.   They sent me to the NEW OWNER Rod Criego 8824 Zealand Ave N Ste A Minneapolis MN 55445  (owns the other FRANCHISE and bought Dustin's) who came out and looked at my lawn and also mentioned to me that he had known DUSTIN for years and could not believe what I was saying.   That should of been my cue.
Rod came out and basically offered me NOTHING but signing up for more payments.  Next year I JUST HOPE I CAN CORRECT THE LAWN and if I could get a full refund - I'd say that is the least they can do.     When I mentioned to Rod that their corporate told me they would work with Rod to help get my lawn going - he said he knew nothing about that and I asked him to contact them and then realized I was TOTALLY WASTING MY TIME.  He wanted me to pay full price to go forward and then when I mentioned that I thought I deserved a break for the investment I made that was a horrible situation - he offered a discount.

1) No integrity
2) Wants your money and won't back the products.
3) Corporate does not back up their bad franchise owners.
There are too many other good companies out there.  I am sorry I invested in Natural Lawn of America.

"Hi [member name removed]! Thank you for your rating and comments on Angie's List! I have checked our records and I believe that you are a customer of the other NaturaLawn office here in the Twin Cities. They are located in Brooklyn Park and service part of the area where you are located. (We kind of share that territory). I know that for our office, we offer a call-ahead option that informs the customer the day before the application is scheduled for. If for some reason that date doesn't work for them, they can call the office back and let us know to reschedule. I'm sure the other office has something similar! Give them a call at 763-273-4779 to discuss those options. And just a reminder, there is no issue with applying our products after you've mowed or watered. We only suggest that you wait a day before mowing/watering again. Our products never need to be "watered in," nor will they be washed away with watering or rain. If for there is a downpour shortly after your application and you are worried that the weed control didn't have time to take effect, simply call and schedule a free service call to re-treat the weeds. Satisfaction and top notch customer service is my top priority and I can't imagine that the other office would be any different! Please let us know if you need any assistance reaching them, but they should be in the office preparing for the upcoming season! Enjoy your day, and thank you again for taking the time to rate NaturaLawn of America! Amanda Gust Office Manager NLA/Mosquito Ranger - South 952.944.8585 #4 [email protected]"

My friend referred this company since she had a great experience with them. I liked that pets could go out on the lawn after one hour of application. The people were responsive, friendly and cordial. The first application really killed the weeds, but I noticed some curled leaves on two shrubs and a garden plant near the lawn's edge the next day. It scared me enough to make me cancel future applications. My shrubs and plant snapped out of it and seem to be back to normal, but I don't want to take any chances with multiple applications as the shrubs are mature and would be difficult to replace. I also now wonder about multiple applications effects on two fairly new trees that aren't well-established yet.
I would definitely recommend them to people that are more concerned about their lawn than their shrubs. I have no doubt my lawn would have been beautiful. In fact, I might consider still using them for occasional applications (once or twice a year), but I am told that the minimum is four.

Last year's package was fine, and they were punctual in their response.
However, I never agreed to extend service beyond 2012. Last week I came home to find a bill for $52.90 for fertilization. I find this practice to be unacceptable, and was never asked for permission to carry my service into this year. As one of the only natural lawn services in the cities, I'm disappointed and have asked for my service to be terminated.

"Hi (member name removed), Thank you for your feedback. We do our very best to inform all customers that although they are never under a contract, the program is continuous. This means you can stop services at anytime without penalty, but until we receive such a request we continue servicing the property for the customer's convenience. We inform customers of the continuous service multiple times a year to help prevent confusion: 1. When you initially sign up 2. It is stated on the service agreement that we mail to you after your account is activated (yours was mailed 4/11/12) 3. An insert that is included with the invoice during your last application of the season (yours was done 10/1/12) 4. The prepay letter that is sent out before the start of the following season (yours was sent 2/13/13) Again, sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. We hope you will give us another shot in the future and possibly reconsider your Angie's List rating if you feel we have addressed all of your concerns! :) Best Regards, Sean Stiehm Sales Manager NaturaLawn of America"

We were having a big problem with creeping charlie that was starting to go into the neighbors yard. We picked a plan to fertilize and to take care of the creeping charlie. It took a little while but the amount of creeping charlie as gone done significantly and our yard is much greener than it was before. We realize it's not completely natural but their service does give off a much less chemical smell than those our neighbors use. Happy with the results.

I emailed them initially, and was able to get an estimate and sign the agreement quickly (very responsive). They came out within a couple days of my initial contact and did the first treatment. I haven't wanted to use pesticides, but they use a more natural product. I was hoping their service would improve the horrible dandelion situation we had this spring. I honestly didn't really expect to see a big improvement until next year, but the results were almost instant. We had a field of weeds basically for our front lawn, but it looks terrific now, and we have only had 2 treatments so far.
Our neighbor had used them last year, and her yard was the only one on the block that wasn't solid dandelions this spring, and I look forward to not have to pull thousands of them next year!

I was very satisfied with the phone interview I had with them. Their price was the best, I had checked several others. They were very honest on the telephone, they told me what their discount was and if there would be a small increase to analyze the soil makeup. They came out while I was still sleeping and sprayed my lawn. So far I have not seen any dandelions. I've been very pleased with them. They left the bill on the door so I could sign it, and the yard looks pretty good.

Naturalawn of America Company only uses natural fertilizers and do not use any chemical, that's why we used them. I really like their attention to detail. They did an awesome job. They were on time. They were attentive to how the lawn was reacting to their process. They come back and check incase they do not get the desired results the first time they treat. They were good. They weren't the cheapest but for what I got it was worth it. It was only $20 more than what I usually pay to go natural, which was great. It was an excellent service, I have no complaints.

This is our 4th year and going for this service. Many of our neighbors now have lawn service because of the improvements in our lawn. Friends who visit ask us who does our lawn because it does look great (we have a sprinkler system, which is *wonderful*)

We chose Natural Lawn because of their commitment to the environment. There was one company that was our 2nd choice because all of their treatments were 100% natural products. However to drive to our house would have more than negated the environmental benefits we would have been doing!

We've done the math and this is one service that saves you money over doing it yourself. Buying our own bags of lawn fertilizer would be more expensive and we're pretty unreliable, to be honest. These guys come out on schedule year after year. They don't put it off like we would have! The technicians we have talked to have all been so polite and professional as well.

We will continue to be a customer and continue to refer people to this company.

This begins our 2nd year with NaturaLawn, and repeat business is the strongest recommendation we can offer. We started NaturaLawn services in spring of 2009, when they assessed our lawn and suggested a plan of treatment. We initially considered NaturaLawn as we warmed to the idea of organic-based fertilizer. That first spring we had lots of questions which were answered pleasantly and frankly -- even if it meant acknowledging that sometimes Mother Nature has the upper hand! We particularly appreciated the calm, practical, no-pressure approach, and the ability to accept one treatment at a time if desired -- rather than committing to an entire season. At that time, NaturaLawn assured us that IF we accepted their suggestions (on how to mow and water, for example) and they provided treatments, the condition of our lawn would definitely improve. So, all season we did what NaturaLawn suggested -- while they provided the treatments. Our lawn absolutely did improve that summer -- and as it came out of dormancy this spring, it still looked good! Throughout the season, NaturaLawn was respectful of our schedule and property -- calling before each appointment; keeping treatments out of the garden and off the sidewalk. They were responsive, giving us practical, useful advice. They answered questions in a timely, honest manner. And, they helped us make our lawn healthier and stronger. NaturaLawn did what they said they would do -- when they said they would do it -- how they said they would do it. A company that does that is a keeper.

They came for the first treatment as promised. It is too early to determine the quality of the results. They were a bit defensive regarding my questions over the phone regarding weed control and existing problems with my lawn-- no promises other than to show up and put down organic fertilizer (Milorganite). I decided to go with them nonetheless, we'll see how it goes for this year.

They come six times a year. They come in the spring, three or four times in the summer and then do a fall treatment. It is not toxic stuff that they use, like other companies. For being here 15 minutes, the price is pretty lofty, but the result is good. The quality is good and they are on autopilot. They call the day before to let us know that they are coming. They will come back if you have any concerns. They are friendly and know what they are talking about. They do what they say they are going to do. We will continue to use this company.

It's a national company and my mother-in-law used Natural Lawn in a different city. I like that they have natural lawn care because we have a baby and we wanted to avoid pesticides as much as we could. This is our first house and our first lawn so we need a lot of help with it. We were able to get a rebate on the price.

We connect with Naturalawn of America because they use only natural products. We don’t like using chemicals from an environmental point of view and also because we have young children. We were looking for a safe and natural alternative; Naturalawn of America provided us that. We also felt that their pricing scheme was fair. We knew that organic products cost more. However, compared to the bills from a chemical lawn company, which we were using before, there wasn’t any significant increase in prices. The people from Naturalawn of America call the day before they come. They do the treatments and post little signs on the lawn to let us know about things. They also leave a write up on the door that mentions the things they did, the wind direction and speed, the temperature when the work was done. Later they give me the bill. Our lawn is better now than what is was before we started using Naturalawn of America.
