LINN STAR TRANSFER INC

The dishwasher was poorly installed by this company. It was not level, off center, and not attached to the counter as the installation instructions indicate. The recommended S shape of the drain line was not present and it was nearly straight, letting water drain back into the dishwasher. The installer was unprofessional and unhelpful. Because of the improper installation, the dishwasher has failed after just over 1 year. Since it was over 1 year, Home Depot will not help, and the unit is out of warranty. I feel that the installation company is fully to blame for the failure of the dishwasher. I will never let this company install anything or set foot in my house. They do not stand by their work and have incompetent employees. AVOID LINN STAR TRANSFER (Home Depot appliance installation) AT ALL COSTS!

Linn Star is a contracted provider of Home Depot. However, they hire all independent contractors to deliver the products. Delivery one: They were to have their plumber come the same day as delivery. He called the day before stating he was overbooked , so I had to take time off the following Monday for him to hook up the dishwasher. He had to have me install an electrical box. Good thing I know electrical or it wouldn't have been completed that day. Delivery two: Clothes Washer was dropped off, and when the team un-boxed it, they had their knife set too deep and cut the front of the washer all the way to the metal. Was told I had to call Home Depot and/or Whirlpool, as it wasn't their fault. HUH??? After going around with Linn Star, Whirlpool and Home Depot, Whirlpool stepped up and ordered a replacement to be delivered the following week. The new washer arrived from Linn Star and the new delivery crew was MUCH better. While it was finally made right, knowing that Linn Star continues to be the deliver and install service for Home Depot, I will rethink any further appliance purchases from there.
