Description of Work: Gassen used to manage my homeowner's association. Our property manager was very incompetent. She had no knowledge of the property or our association's governing documents. She was slow to respond to homeowner inquiries and when she did respond she gave inadequate and incomplete answers.

 + -1 moreThe company has ignored all of my requests for compensation or restitution. They refuse to answer any letters that I send them describing in detail why I am disappointed with the work. They have told me that it has been done just the way it should be and there is nothing wrong with it, and they treat me as if I know nothing. However, I cared for decks at my home for many years before moving to this building (when it was brand new) and I know about the care and maintenance of decks. They have ruined this deck and they act as though I know nothing. I am extremely disappointed with their customer service, which is nonexistent. We hire them on a yearly basis to manage our condominium association, so I believe they should be open to communication with the owners. Their rudeness in not responding to letters or emails or telephone calls is abusive, and I have submitted a complaint to the BBB.
Description of Work: The company used a power washer with a very small nozzle at high pressure to wash the deck on my Condominium apartment, resulting in much of the softer surface of the boards being gouged away as shreds of wood which scattered all over the house and grounds. This left the boards very uneven and not the least bit smooth, as they had been before the power washing. Then without sweeping away the shredded wood they slopped on some kind of stain which dripped down onto the understructure of the deck and on my walls and patio windows. In some areas the wood is thickly covered and in other areas it looks as though it was not stained. They have refused to repair the damage and continue to show a charge on my bill although I told them immediately that I would not pay for such shoddy damaging work.
