very pleased with the work & appreciated how responsive they were. It was difficult to get people to call me for a bid, so I didn't have the chance to comparison shop. Will call them again if we have further need.

Excellent! Steve pointed out that I needed a sub panel and the other electrician that I got a bid from, never mentioned it. The electrical inspector agreed that I needed the sub panel.

Boyer Electric just did a high priced inspection trying to up sell with fear.  They tried to up sell me to an $18,000 project..  When  the electrician was there he did not even replace the breaker that needed to be replaced.  I would not use them nor recommend them to anyone.

Steve called me right back and set up a service call for the same afternoon.  Keith did the work and couldn't have been more professional and accommodating.  We'll definitely use them again.

He's been busy so it was hard to get on the schedule, but he does good work.  He didn't just do what I asked, but thought about the new lights and where switches should be installed to make it functional.

Great, he is the only electrician I have do work in my house.

I was under the gun trying to complete items on an inspector's report for a very quick closing on my home. Found Boyer Electric on AL and saw they are an Eden Prairie company (where I live too). They empathized with my dilemma and were very flexible about scheduling.
Boyer's electrician showed up five minutes ahead of time, began work immediately, and completed my basic upgrades very quickly. Steve Boyer, the owner, dropped by about an hour into the job to see how it was going - he's a very engaging and accommodating guy who obviously is very attuned to providing great customer service.
The next Sunday I texted Steve again for another job I'd forgotten about - installing a new exhaust/heater fan with light in a bathroom. It was an odd configuration and impossible for me to do myself. He had his guy there on Monday and the job was completed quickly and professionally.
I can't say enough about Boyer Electric and the personal service they provide. I will hire them with no hesitation to do work on my new home if it ever needs it.

Installation went great. They planned the installation/move of the electrical box at the time I leave for work so I could meet them, work things out and then get moving. When I got home, everything was clean, locked, and I had a new spot for my dining room light. I was super excited at how easy this whole process was.

He came highly recommended from a friend. He was busy and it took a bit of time to get them scheduled to come out, but they were professional and did great work. He did not try to oversell things. He felt bad about the time it took to come out and discounted the services so I don't expect it's a common issue. We were very happy with all the work.

Steve Boyer was a great asset in helping me decide where the lighting should go and how much lighting I needed . He also picked up on the fact that I would need a sub panel, as my present electrical panel was full. The other electrician that I had a bid from, did not pick up on this. When I spoke with the electrical inspector, he agreed that the sub panel was needed. This would have been a $450 surprise additional cost had Steve not pointed it out at the initial consult.
Steve and his assistant Keith did a great job for me. He was fair in price, helpful, always responded to phone calls, emails or text messages. Very important to me when I hold a fulltime job and needed to communicate by various methods.
He also helped me out by being adaptable as possible to my schedule.
I highly recommend Boyer Electrical Services of Eden Prairie. I would have not problem speaking to someone about his work.

Steven and his colleague were very professional throughout the experience. The bid was extremely fair so we immediately chose to work with them. They performed the work as agreed and insured our satisfaction throughout the steps in the multiple projects. I would highly recommend Steven and will use his company again in the future.

SEPTEMBER 2013 UPDATE:
WE SUBMITTED THE REVIEW ABOVE FROM JUNE 2012 AFTER A WRITTEN REQUEST FROM STEVEN TO POST A REVIEW ON ANGIE'S LIST. HIS WORK IN JUNE 2012 WAS AS DESCRIBED ABOVE, WELL DONE. MY WIFE HAS SINCE ATTEMPTED (ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS) TO CONTACT STEVEN FOR WORK IN OUR KITCHEN AND BASEMENT. AFTER A QUICK PHONE CALL HE ASKED US TO CONTACT HIM VIA EMAIL AND HAS SINCE REFUSED TO RESPOND TO SEVERAL ATTEMPTS. THIS IS VERY UNFORTUNATE - HE SEEMED PROFESSIONAL AND RESPONSIVE (LAST YEAR).
