Dennis was prompt, efficient,, honest and very knowledgeable. I had called two other vendors and both were not responsive to my needs. I would choose Dennis in the future and recommend him to friends and neighbors alike.

My mini-split ductless air-conditioning was blowing warm air. I figured it needed freon and might have a leak. I called three highly rated on Angie's List HVAC repair companies. The first one didn't want to work on my brand. The second one made it sound like no matter what the problem, it'd be expensive and I'd be better off with a new system. Then there's Dennis from Blizzard Air Conditioning and Heating. I called him this morning. It's 3pm now and my unit is working like new. It turns out two threaded valve caps had gotten loose. I needed 4 pounds of freon (the system only holds five). He charged me $50 a pound, compared to $125 a pound the other place charges. I'm a handy guy and I speak contractor. I've hired every kind of contractor involved in home construction and repair. So I know one of "the goods guys" when I meet him. Do yourself a favor and call Blizzard when you need a good HVAC guy.

Dennis was prompt and professional. This was a Sunday morning emergency service call (Super Bowl Sunday in fact). Our heater wasn't working and he repaired it in just a few minutes.

The A/C was not turning on and after a couple of hours of trying to figure it out myself I started calling various, highly-rated Angie's List HVAC companies in the area. I had left messages with a couple of other companies but Dennis was the first to actually answer the phone. He said that someone would be out to our house within a couple of hours which seemed quite reasonable on a Saturday afternoon.
Dennis himself actually showed up in about an hour after I spoke with him and had the problem figured out within 5 minutes. It was just a faulty thermostat but it's something I would not have been able to figure out on my own. Dennis did spend about 20 minutes on site explaining the problem, creating a short-term fix and explaining clearly and patiently how to go about installing a new thermostat. He even made a couple of recommendations. (I actually got a Nest Thermostat up and running a few minutes ago and, just as Dennis said it would be... it's fabulous!)
Great guy, great service and a great company. By the way, I did pay an off-hours rate since it was the weekend but it matched closely to what several other companies' had quoted on their answering services.

Same issue as last time.. Air conditioner came on yet the fan in the furnace did not kick on. Called Dennis Monday afternoon and he was out today, Tuesday morning. He came prepared, trouble shot the system, and thought outside the box.. Darn batteries in the thermostat had gone bad! Easy fix and he charged nothing. Also gave a couple trouble shooting tips on furnaces/ACs and things to look for which I greatly appreciated!

We returned from our week long vacation (around midnight) only to find out our A/C had gone out during the time we were gone. The themostat read 87 degrees. After a very uncomfortable evening, I call Blizzard the next morning around 7:00 AM with the intension of leaving a message . To my surprise Dennis picked up and said he would check his schedule and call back. He called back within 10 minutes and said he would be available before noon. Showed up around 9:30 AM, very professional and thorough. Found out my replacement part was obsolete- (the a/c was approx.14 years old) and drove back to town to get the replacement and repaired the a/c before noon. I am now enjoying my very cool house. Great service- a must recommend.

Issue: Furnace would work with heat but would not run with AC.
I called Dennis for a second opinion as my gut said 1st company, Dave's Heating and Air, pricing was either seemed really high or something was off. Dennis was able to give me a estimate based on what 1st company said the problem was and price was more reasonable of the two I called for price comparison. Based on what I said the furnace and AC were doing he said his gut feeling was it was a different issue than what Dave's Heating and Air said it was. Dennis came out, trouble shot, and made a correct diagnoses and saved me $$$$$ from having to replace a part, or furnace, that was not bad. Highly recommend!!

We thought we needed a new air conditioning system based on a conversation we had with another AC/Heating business. Dennis came in and informed us that we did not need a new system -- we just needed a minor repair. He was polite, on time and explained everything thoroughly so we felt comfortable. He had us up and working in 20 minutes and the house has been cool ever since. I would definitely hire him again.

Called their office and left a voice message. Within about 10 minutes I got a call back. We needed to be somewhere that afternoon, so the fellow agreed to come out as soon as possible. He arrived in plenty of time, discovered the problem and gave us tips to keep our AC running better. Very professional, courteous and helpful! Dennis Kelly and his son installed a new furnace and A/C for us. The price, service, and overall experience was awesome. The units he put in(Day and Night brand) are not as familiar as better known brands but are working fabulous, and cost a lot less. Go with Bliizzard!

It was a very nice guy that came out. He was very responsive; he came out on a short notice because I wanted it done quickly, and he fixed it pretty fast. It was a nice experience. He was confident and very professional, and everything was good about him. I did not shop around, so I don’t know how his price would compare with others; at that moment, I was ready to pay anything. The air conditioner is still working. I would rate him highly and would use him again in the future if necessary.

Both units failed to work on a recently purchased duplex during the 102 degree day in June.
They were able to get out and repair both about 1-2 weeks ahead of centerpoint.
Seemed knowledgeable and friendly, and fairly punctual.
600 seemed like a lot, but the majority of the cost was in the freon, which after looking it up online, was well within current market rates.
In general I like contractors that are close to my age(40), show up in well used trucks(slightly rusty), say "no problem", and get in and out quickly, with the problem being solved on the first visit.
These guys fit that bill and I would use them again.

Returned my inquiry quickly, set up the appt, came out and did the work on the day schedlued. They did not provide me a window of time to expect them. I waited around a while and finally went to work after waiting a couple hours. I will ask for a window of time to expect them next time. Otherwise, a very good experience.

The job went very well. They were very responsive. They came out and fixed the problem on their first visit. They didn't replace anything. They did some adjustments on my furnace and its working fine since then. I will use them again in the future.
