Vic's Alterations

The hem came out on both pairs after being worn only a few times.

Zippers replaced in two pair of jeans. The work was good and completed on time, however, I thought $48 seemed a little pricey.

Initially, the owner looked at my jacket and stated that he would be able to do some adjustments. After the seamstress looked at it, I was told that those alterations could not be done. A refund was issued. Otherwise, other alterations were done well and the owner was very friendly.

Uniform alterations included hems on pants and skirts and taking skirt in. All looks good, but stiching is visible on skirt hem because it was not done by hand.

Wanted to fix a suit for the wedding and was given tips on the coat and pants and in the end her suggestion with fixing only the coat was great.

They were professional and everything was done on time and as promised. It seemed a bit on the pricey side, but since I don't sew, maybe there was more involved than it looked like to my untrained eye.

It went well. They did a great job, it was reasonably priced and it was done when they said it would be.

When I took my coat into Vic's Alterations, they looked at it and thought that first they would try fixing the zipper which would cost considerably less than replacing it. They called the end of that day to tell me they had tried unsuccessfully to repair the zipper so would need to replace it. They gave me the cost up front and told me when it would be done. The seamstress was very informative, courteous and professional. It was nice of her to check the existing zipper first knowing that it would cost less if it was still workable. She also asked me if I needed the coat back quickly as they would be able to accommodate that if needed. When I went to pick up my coat, I was very pleased with the looks of the replacement and the zipper has been working great. My only surprise was when I mentioned that I had found their shop on Angie's List and read good reviews, she seemed unfamiliar with Angie's List.

Overall the experience was good.

Excellent service and great work. This was an inexpensive, relatively simple job (well, for someone who knows how to sew and has the equipment). I appreciate that the people at Vic's treated me as well as if the job were worth much more. They provided me with options for how to do the finishing, they finished on time, and they did the job right. In other words, they're professionals -- and that's who you want handling your alterations! I would definitely use them again.

I dropped them off Wednesday evening and they were ready by Saturday morning. As far as I could tell, they performed high quality work. The pant legs are now the right height and I am a happy customer. They were open later than the other tailors I found on Angie's list, which is why I chose to give them a try.
