"Thank you for your positive review! We appreciate your business & hope you enjoy your new roof, windows and gutters!"
PCS did an amazing job from start to finish. First of all they did a very thorough inspection of our home inside and out which was instrumental in assuring that all damage was identified and assessed accurately. Our sales representative, Nick was extremely professional and knowledgeable. He walked us through each step in the process, thoroughly explained the various options and decisions that needed to be made and coordinated everything. PCS facilitated the claims process with our insurer. I am convinced that the thoroughness and accuracy of their evaluation was essential in assuring that both all the damage was included in our claim and that we were fairly and accurately paid. Our roofing materials were no longer manufactured. PCS's expertise was essential in demonstrating to the insurer what needed to be done to assure we had a complete roof that matched. The PCS crews that replaced the roof and the windows were great to deal with. Everyone was friendly and courteous and completed their work in a timely and professional manner. The crew foremen kept us advised of progress and time schedules throughout the project, and worked with us to assure that each item was installed to our satisfaction. I honestly cannot imagine a project of this size and scope being handled any better. Nick was awesome to work with. He even showed up throughout the project to assure that things were being handled according to plan. We are extremely satisfied and have already referred others to PCS.
Could I have done this without PCS? yes, but I didnt even know I had damage to my windows, I am not sure I would have had all the replacements done that we ended up getting, and I think that PCS took a lot of the work negotiating with the company off my hands. FOr that I am grateful - dealing with insurance companies and banks can be very difficult and you have to know what you are doing . I did not. We are now about to replace our roof on our new house (not an insurance job) and I am using PCS for one of my quotes as I was happy with the quality of the job.
Since then more hail damage happened this past month. I immediately contacted PCS to help us with our damage. I told my neighbors about the quality work of PCS and they are working for them, also.
The workers were very professional and because of the siding needs, spent about 5 1/2 days doing the work. They cleaned up every night including vacuuming the carpet by the windows and making sure that everything was in order. They worked hard and well and were very considerate. We couldn't have asked for nicer or more careful workers.
Because the job was done in the winter with cold temperatures, the siding has remained unpainted and will be painted in the spring. There was no other alternative under the circumstances. We withheld money from our payment until the painting is done. There were no protests from the company and we will pay them as soon as the work is complete.
We have grid inserts on the inside of our windows. All were fine except for two small windows (the grids were the wrong size) and the grids for the sliding door (they were also the wrong size). The issue was not the fault of the installers. Apparently the representative from the window company who did the ordering made a mistake or someone in the manufacturing process. It took three or four weeks for the new grids to arrive all painted and ready to be installed. They were installed in no time and all is well.
The dumpster in the driveway was filled twice and no materials were left in the yard or anywhere visible during the project. We were very pleased with the project and couldn't have asked for nicer or better installers.
"We are very disheartened by the experience that the member had with our company. We pride ourselves on customer service. We accept full responsibility for the circumstances and ultimate results of this particular customer’s experience. We execute hundreds of projects each year and have come to understand that “issues” can arise from time to time. We at PCS choose to look at these “issues” as “opportunities”, finding that they can typically provide a forum to display our professionalism, deliver on our promise, and further develop a trusting relationship with our clients. In the end, we believe how we respond to resolving “issues” matters more than the fact that they do occur. In this case, member made it very challenging for us to do so. A steep pitched roof poses more of a challenge for the installation crews. Typically the shingles will be “pushed” off of the roof in a controlled fashion with a person or two on the ground trying to coral the debris. This is a very intense process and extremely challenging to manage. Although we do not condone “horse play”, and do our best to prevent it from happening, it could definitely occur. During the tear-off, stray debris (nails and shingles) can cause damage. Although we use a magnetic rake to comb for nails after a job is complete, it is nearly impossible to get every single one. Had member informed us of his tractor tire issue, we would have immediately reimbursed him for this. Between the supplier’s truck, dump truck, and crew’s trucks there can be oil stains that appear on driveways from time to time. There was a “small” spot in this case and we responded by hiring a professional company to clean the entire driveway. The materials left were additional bundles of shingles as a nice gesture in case future repairs were needed. This is protocol for our company. If informed and allowed, we will always make the necessary repairs. We strongly believe we did that in this case. The most pressing issue was that the shingles didn’t lie down properly. This can occur when installing shingles in the latter part of the season because the temperature reduces their pliability. They will usually settle in the spring after a few days of 70+ temperatures. When this didn’t happen, we brought out our GAF (shingle) representative to inspect the roof and pull a sample shingle. He sent it in to their lab and found there to be no defect. At this time, he suspected it was a pre-existing ventilation issue, which was later confirmed by a 3rd party inspector once we got a judge to allow access to the home. We realize that member had every right to be upset and completely understand his refusal to settle up with us. We could have definitely managed the situation better and have incorporated new procedures to prevent similar situations from arising again. Thank you for the opportunity to explain our position, Chad Nyberg, Owner"
