Face Value Cabinet Refacing

At first we were really happy with Joel - he seemed really nice. He was initially very responsive and brought several samples for us to review. He seemed meticulous in his estimate and in his work. The cabinets looked great when he was done and we were happy! There were 2 additional panels though that he was going to order and add later. His last email said "Let me know when it's a good time to finish these 2 panels" and that is the last we have heard from him. That was 9 months ago. He has not responded to our phone calls or emails. We let that go and decided we could do without the additional panels. The bigger concern now is that the cabinets have started chipping badly. This started only 2 or 3 months after they were installed. They now look like old, chipped cabinets! We have tried repeatedly to call and email Joel but he has never responded. We are very surprised and disappointed in the quality and durability of the work and that that he has not followed up on our calls.

Joel is great! I would highly recommend him. From start to finish, he was very responsive (I think he came out the same day I requested a quote to see the project), professional, and a did an amazing job. He took his time to listen to everything we really needed, offered suggestions without being pushy at all, and completed the project on a tight timeline. I think he went above and beyond what was expected by him, for example we bought all new appliances and Joel installed them for us without charge. We couldn't be more pleased with hoow things turned out, they look like brand new cabinets! I would definately recommend him, he's hard working and trustworthy. By the end of the project I just left the door open for him to let himself in. He cleaned up after each day's end keeping the kitchen totally functioning during the short remodel time. If you're in the market for cabinet refacing, you should have him out for a quote to compare, I think you'll find his rates are very reasonable.

Joel is awesome! We would recommend him to anyone looking for a kitchen update. He is very reliable and hard working. The entire process of updating a kitchen is overwhelming but once we decided to hire Joel it became easier. When we were trying to configure the cabinet layout he was helpful in determining what would work best. We weighed the options with replace or re-face and decided to replace it all. He was able to work with us to coordinate other contractors for tile and lighting work. He works very fast and efficiently also. Our entire project came together faster than we imagined and we are thrilled with the end result!

Joel was very good to work with. He was very helpful in giving feedback during our selection process, and ordered additional samples for us to make sure we could see exactly what the cabinets would look like. He finished the project in about 3 days which is what he told us during the quote process. The price remained the same as what he quoted, no hidden costs. He was very neat and cleaned up after each day. We are very happy with the cabinets.

My husband and I knew that we wanted to reface our cabinets, but we were a bit reluctant based on some bad experiences that other people had with other refacing companies. Once we had selected Face Value, I contacted some of their former customers before we committed to our project. The references were stellar, and my experience was great as well!
Joel of Face Value estimated that the work would be completed in 5 business days, and it was completed on time. The quality of the finish on the wood was better than that of our old cabinets when they had been new. He did all of the work himself, and I was very happy with the quality of the work (and I am rather picky). We had to move everything out of our cabinets before the cabinets were refaced. Then he went to work. The other companies that had bid our project were going to use sanding machines, but Joel sanded the old surfaces by hand, so there was no mess. He tidied up the kitchen each night when he left so we could use it in the evenings (although we chose to eat out for meals other than breakfast). We had bid out our project to some of the big-box stores as well, but their prices were significantly higher. One of the other reasons that I used Joel for this project is that he could provide quarter-sawn oak cabinet doors and veneer (which is looking GORGEOUS). Joel uses Showplace Wood Products, which had a wider selection of options than what we could obtain from the big-box companies that provided bids, and the warranty was as good or better. We had a great experience with Face Value, and I am amazed at how much better our kitchen looks now. I LOVE the slide-out drawers, although we did lose a bit of storage space from adding them. I am finding, though, that we had canned goods and pasta that we didn't even know we had (because it was stuck in the back of a shelf), and now I can see EVERYTHING. As we and quot;eat downand quot; our excess food, I think we will find that we have sufficient storage, even after having lost some due to the pull-out drawers.
I am very happy that we refaced our cabinets, and I am very, very satisfied with the product and service that we received from Face Value!
