The furnace was replaced in a day and we've had no issues. AC will be installed in the spring. (Good solution to prevent ware and tear over winter and spread out costs of new unit. We appreciated their attentiveness to issues in our 50 year old home. Professional, punctual, and efficient. Price seemed competitive but don't think we got a special deal. We like shopping locally and will rely on this company for future maintenance.

I could not speak more highly of Better Air. Our project went as perfect as it could have. Our Geo systems are separate from each other and were older, "first generation" ones. First one, then the other, crashed in December and January. We chose Better Air based primarily on recommendations of other professionals (their reputation is THAT strong among their peers), but also on the strength of the reviews here on Angie's List. Their representative, Tom W., visited and assessed our needs, making a couple visits to make sure all aspects and options were addressed. We debated switching to LPG and Tom provided detailed estimates and options for that. We decided to stick with GT and Tom, once again, was extremely detailed and thorough on the estimate and plan of work. They even advised and assisted on the various rebates and tax incentives, that - in the back-end - will bring our investment down to about $18,000 (about the cost of switching the entire system to LPG/electric HVAC). Once the units arrived, the installers spent several days in sub-zero weather making the switch. Some electrical and a little plumbing needed to re-routed and they did a great, fast job of it. Everyone involved was courteous, on time, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful in explaining the work, making recommendations or answering questions. They cleaned up after each work day and let us know what the next day would bring. A few weeks after installation, we needed a small adjustment, as a joint had developed a small leak. We called and they were out the very next morning and repaired it. I will use them again in a second, and will absolutely recommend them to others!

The work was done in less time than previously quoted.  The installer did not clean up debris after the job was completed.  We could feel the effects of the air exchange almost immediately.   We installed the ERV to ventilate the basement and whole house and to reduce levels on radon in the whole house.  A radon test done 6 weeks later showed greatly reduced rates in the upper levels of the home.  The basement levels remain disappointingly the same.  
Tom who did our initial evaluation and estimate was very thorough and professional.  I felt that he really knew what he was talking about.  The installer was also very efficient and communicated to me what he was doing.  
The overall price was steep, especially considering it took less time to install than initially estimated but I feel that the quality of the work was top notch.

went great, until termostat had to be installed , took two days to figure out we had a bad wire to air conditioner. now it works great.

This company installed the unit 25 years ago. Their service is fine and I will use them again in the future.

Had an 8:00 am appointment. I slept ten minutes late and he waited for me. Very neat nice man. Cleaned furnace and set water temp. Did an extra safety check when he thought my furnace might have been recalled. Done in no time.
