Seller beware of Nordic Auction! I brought items for the October 2016 Antique Auction. After not receiving payment 3 weeks after the sale, I stopped by Nordic Auction and talked to the owner; he stated that he did not sell any of the items at that sale and he was saving them for the November Antique sale. I should have thought this strange as the items were advertised for the October sale. After the November sale I never received payment; I had to email, call, and stop by many times throughout the following months before finally receiving a payment of $40 ($50 total, minus $10 commission) on February 16th. Throughout this time I was given multiple excuses for the delay. One was actually true - the check DID get lost in the mail. Even after receiving the payment, things are not right! I had brought many more items then I received a receipt for. I received two receipts from Nordic Auction listing the items I sold: Receipt dated: 11/17/18 (yes I know the date is off but this is how it is written on the receipt) - “flag $25.00” (a USSR flag I had brought). Receipt dated: 11/26/16 - “cards $12.50” (some Russian Language cards from the USSR I had brought), “Statue – btl – misc $5.00” (I assume a German statue from the late 1800’s and some vintage religious statues I had brought), and then “Misc $2.50” (which I guess I would have to assume cover everything listed below). Items that I had brought, but have no record of sale and I did not receive a payment for (they just disappeared): military uniforms (2 jackets and 1 pant from 1940's-1950's, and 1 officer hat from 1960's), a varnished wood box with words “holy bible” burned into it, a vintage wood rolling pin foot rest, vintage child’s leather German lederhosen, multiple W. German wood plates, a wood handled golf club, large W German beer bottle/pitcher, and some other small items. All items were in great condition too. So to think that they would have gone for the price of the "Misc" items is foolish. When I dropped these items off at Nordic Auction I filled-out an inventory sheet for all these items. That sheet seems to be missing. I used to buy at Nordic Auctions regularly and never had an issue; until I became a seller. Whenever I talked to the owner, he seems very friendly too. It may have been my downfall for being too trusting. When I started having issues with contacting Nordic Auction and getting my payment, I saw that Nordic Auction has an “F” grade with the BBB and Google reviews are very bad. I guess I should have done my homework and looked at these before the sale. Never again!!!
