Except for rainy days it went very well and ended up a great finished product. MJ is easy to work with and operates without supervision.

MJ is great to work with. We’ve hired her three separate times now, first she did the entire lower level of our house, then later stained and painted the entire exterior, then later came back for the whole main floor. We’d hire her again in a heartbeat. MJ is easy to communicate with and helpful picking paint colors, making suggestions, etc… She works quickly and cleans up after her projects well. Her pricing seems very reasonable compared to other painters we’ve worked with. Were happy to recommend MJ to anyone.

We previously hired MJ to paint interior walls in our home. She did an amazing job and was very efficient. We just recently hired her to paint our kitchen cabinets which could not have been an easy task as I messed them up when I tried painting them! Her prices are reasonable. She is so positive and you cannot help but adore her bubbly personality. We would never consider hiring anyone else. She is absolutely amazing!!

MJ and her staff were very friendly, professional and did a phenomenal job! She had excellent ideas on selecting the best paint colors and went above and beyond my expectations to ensure I got a very nice finished product. She also gave me additional ideas on a carpet cleaner. I will definitely hire her again!

I am an Interior Designer/Project Manager for a company that owns several resorts, and have hired MJ to remove wall vinyl and paint several units at our properties. She is an absolute perfectionist!! Her work is flawless and her sunny disposition and professionalism make her a dream to work with. She is my first phone call when I have a paint job, and the reassurance that the work will be performed in a timely manner and turn out perfectly is priceless. Superb work, always. We've hired MJ several times in the last 5 years. This is our second home she has helped us improve. The work is excellent, on time and on budget. MJ has tackled some difficult projects for us, including beautifying our old American traditional in town. The most recent project was a highly detailed shellac application on our stair rails, spindles and treads. It looks amazing!

MJ is very personable and reliable. She responded quickly to all of our communications. She was very helpful picking out paint colors for my rooms. She also was helpful in giving me ideas on updating my fireplace surround. I would definitely hire her again.

A little more than 1 year ago, I had the good fortune to meet and hire Mary Jo of MJ Interiors to paint the inside rooms of our home. In the months to follow, she painted virtually ever room in our house! MJ was great to work with! She showed up when she said she would, was cheerful, efficient, and skilled. She cleaned up nicely when she finished each day. MJ was helpful and knowledgeable regarding the work to be done. I loved that she would offer ideas on color or technique, but was never pushy to do it her suggested way. MJ sincerely wanted us to be satisfied and happy with the finished product. We have loved the results, and look forward to working with MJ on other projects in the near future!

Fabulous!!! My home looks so beautiful and fresh. I was very impressed with Mary when she can over for the initial consultation. She helped me pick out the most amazing Benjamin Moore colors and suggested accessories that worked perfect with the colors. Mary had great attention to detail and made sure nothing was left undone. Her organization and clean up was impeccable, I would highly recommend Mary without reservation.

From the very start MJ was VERY responsive and came out right away to assess the job and provide a quote. She suggested colors that we absolutely love and completed the job faster than we anticipated. Her communication through the entire process was excellent and her final work was amazing. MJ Interior Painting guided her gently toward choosing a beautiful, gentle color. That way my Mom felt like she had a part in the project. I was amazed at quality of her work....she cut in not only at the ceiling level, but also on both sides of some wallpaper trim my Mom likes to look at. The paint went well with the trim and everyone stopped in her room to ooh and aah. A Great experience for everyone.

MJ is fantastic!. She responded to my request for an estimate very quickly and made it out to the house in 24 hours. Her quote was very reasonable and the work is excellent. MJ went out of her way to protect my home and set up and and took down all the plastic barrier each day. She contacted me daily to let me know how things were going and always answered my questions promptly. MJ is so nice and personable and is very easy to work with and I will definitely use her company again if the need arises to have more painting done.

MJ was wonderful to work with, she is professional and does all she can to please the client. She actually did many small things for us at no cost, which we really appreciated. This review is long overdue. We had a house fire in August of 2014. Now, a year later, because of the great work MJ did for us and our contractor, we are enjoying our "new house".
The day after our fire, was when she was to start staining our deck we hired her to do. She came and saw our fire damage, she was very helpful in giving us recommendations and advice. She was so compassionate about what we had just experienced!
While work was being done to reconstruct our home, and rooms emptied of furniture, we hired her to paint our downstairs, Living, dining, hall and bedroom. She did an excellent job. Our contractor then hired her to paint our new upstairs that he had to rebuild, a hallway, stairway and two bedrooms. We were very pleased with the work she did. She helped me to choose paint colors, she was very efficient and always cleaned up well.
We were happy with the work she did on the staining of our decks. Her helper, Sam, also did an excellent job when he helped her at times.
In July of this year, we hired her again to paint the foundation of our house after we had it re-sided. Loved the job she did.

MJ came right away and cleaned up from a paint accident my husband made a few days ago. She painted the outside of our entry way which now looks fresh and clean. I have used her services before and she does an excellent job.

MJ did a beautiful job. She was thoughtful, warm and friendly. We felt like she wanted us to be completely comfortable with the paint colors and having her in my home. I never felt rushed or pressed to make a decision before I was comfortable with it. Our home was always neat and tidy when she left for the day. We were very happy with the work MJ did in our home!

I felt the overall experience was wonderful. MJ made me feel comfortable and trusting of her being in my home. In fact, there was one day I was out of town, I gave her a key to enter my home without me being there. She communicated with me daily what she accomplished each day, what the plan was for the next day, etc. Lastly, she was a very neat worker. She had a very area to paint, she always finished one section before going on to the next section.

Absolutely the most HORRIBLE experience I have ever had with a contractor. Currently seeking legal action to resolve an abandoned job. I paid MJ $3,000 to complete a job. I, like a fool, paid her in full even though she wasn't done because she needed the money to pay her insurance. Four MONTHS later, the job is still abandoned. I will update this post once the legal action has commenced, but wanted to immediately alert others so they do not find themselves resulting to legal action as a result of working with this "professional".

"My response to this negative review is that the residence was painted per the contract agreed upon by both parties. I went above and beyond the contract to help a person who during the middle of the job stated that she was losing her job and that she would have to sell her house because she wouldn't be able to affoard it anymore. I was payed in full as stated in the review because the job was completed according to the written contract. It should be noted that I was contacted several weeks later requesting I return to do some touch ups of small areas that were missed during the painting job which is typical in any painting job. I back my work product and attemped to schedule a date with this person who demanded that I pay for additional paint to complete the touch ups. (the contract stated the home owner pays for all materials to include paint ) After several e-mails the home owner finally agreed to pay and pick up the paint. I then went to the home owners residence with my co-worker as a witness and then painted the touch ups, I then fixed several sheetrock joints for the home owner and touched those areas also ( these areas were fixed outside of the original contract at the request of the home owner ) I then noticed that the home owner had gotten the wrong sheen on the bathroom paint and we would not be able to do the touch ups in the bathroom until she got the right sheen. The home owner left to go get the right paint, I waited 3 hours for the home owner to return and after several attempts to contact her I left her a message stating that I would make arrangements to come back on another day and touch up the bathroom. The home owner was angry because I didnt wait for her to return ( In all business's time is money and I have other customers to attend to ). I have attempted several times to finish the touch ups at the job and have not been afforded the opportunity. The home owner has stated that she will be taking me to court to resolve this issue which is unfortunate as had she gotten the right paint on the scheduleded day of touch ups this job would be complete. It should also be noted that the home owner currently owes me $500.00 for the work she requested which was outside the original contract. Please review the home owners complaints carefully and note that she did not have one complaint about my work product or any details in her account of the job. This review is based on a home owner who was angry she had to go get paint per her signed contract."

MJ and her worker showed up everyday at 800-830 and worked all day. MJ cleaned up everyday which was a bonus for me as the apartments were both rented. MJ was easy to work with and went above and beyond what was asked of her to include helping me pick out paint colors and brands at no charge. This was the second time I used MJ interior painting I had her stain my personnel residence in 2009 which turned out very nice.

Well she was good talker and will talk you out of money and she is not reliable she dont show up on time she does not clean up very well after she is done for the day she splattered paint on my hard woodfloors that i had to scrap off my floor there was stain on the paint that she did not fix i would not hire her back or recommend her to anyone

The work was ok up until the time she wouldn't come back to finish. There were several spots that were missed. I sent her pictures and she said she would be back the next day. She didn't show or call. I sent her a text. She said her truck wouldn't start so she would come the next day. I'm still waiting. I finished it myself so the apartments could be rented.
