The roofing job went fine. They did exactly what I had asked them to do and they did it well. They are a good company. I have had good success with them all the time. I have been here for twenty years, so they did the first remodeling twenty years ago and then last remodeling was eight years ago with some other work in between. They are very professional. They are honest and they do good work. I have no negative things about them whatsoever. Their prices are fair.

Started out a little rough as they sent out someone who didn't give an appropriate bid. The company stood by the bid we were given an did a truly excellent job. I would use them again without hesitation.

It went great. I was worring that the whole garage door might have to be replaced it was great to find out it was just 1 panel.
I went  to get the paper and noticed that there was a gap in the garage door at the floor level, like it hadn't closed completely. When I looked at the garage door I noticed it was closed completely and that there was a bulge in it at the lower middle of the door. It looked like it had been lightly hit by something. From the inside it looked like it bulged out ward from the outside it looked like it bulged inward, weird.
So I looked on Angie's list found Lipe Brothers Construction provides free estimates and they appropriately licensed. They were able to send someone the very next day to come over and look at and get a free estimate.
He was able to show that it was caused by someone backing the car out of the garage and not the garage being hit from the outside. He was also able to show that it was the upper corner of the car trunk that dinged the garage door when backing out (the car must have been in the garage at a slight angle) it hit the garage door as the it was opening since there was a mark in a somewhat diagonal line on the bottom panel of the garage door.

The garage door is a panel design (4 panels) only the bottom panel was damaged when someone back out of the garage while the garage was opening but not completely open. For those reading it was not me since I let the other people in the family do the driving.
So, one very important question answered, I thought that it might have been a deer or car from the outside hitting the garage. In addition, the next important question was answered since it was a panel design only the bottom panel needed to be replaced the panel above it were ok. It was also convenient that the garage door had the model and part numbers clearly visible on it.
He advised that he would have to order the bottom panel and once it came in they could set up a time to have it replaced.
When he came and replaced the bottom panel the one above it wasn't being pushed out any more and it look as good as before. He noticed that when that garage door closed the top snapped closed and asked if I had noticed that before. I said that sometimes when it closes at the top there is a jerk like motion at the top of the garage door when it closes. After watching it a couple of times he was noticed that the track on one side, when the wheels of the garage door came to the bottom of the track it sometimes hit the edges of the clamps that held the laser eye beam in place. He was able to adjust it by the track by loosening the screw at the bottom of that track and moving it just a bit so that the wheels didn't hit the clamps. After he did that it was the first time that I have noticed the garage door close smoothly like the other garage door. He also checked the other garage door about this and it was ok.
Once everything was done he greased the tracks with a spray grease.

Worker brought door here, unloaded it, removed the old door and put it into his truck. He installed the opener and door within a short period of time. He also explained  how everything worked and how to grease the runner for the door. If we had any problems to call Lipe Bros. at their number.

The doors are low-headroom, which is a little trickier than normal. I got five bids, and Lipe Bros was about as low as the lowest bidders. I don't feel I made any compromises taking the most competitive bid, however, as the job ended up being done well and the doors and operators themselves are of high quality. The only problem I had was a miscommunication with the company over when the job would be completed, because they sent the installer all over to perform last-minute emergency garage door repairs. If I had taken time off from a job as I waited around for someone to come when they said, I'd be very irritated, but as it was, I am a homemaker and it was only mildly irritating.

It took about a month or five weeks after signing the bid for the doors to be manufactured and shipped to Lipe Bros, but I knew ahead of time how long it would take and that wasn't a problem.

Foreman and project manager met with us before project started to discuss things like staging areas, approach, etc. so we could agree what would be most cost-effective while also least disruptive.  They constructed a temporary wall and put in a temporary, lockable front door while they took down the old wall, deck, chimney etc. so that we were still safe and dry inside.
Workers arrived promptly everyday at 7:30 (agreed upon start time - I said 7:00 was too early for us), were very courteous and positive.  Nice w/ our kids, never any foul language.  Project took longer than expected but that was mainly due to the complexity of the exterior trim work - they kept at it consistently.

Very good transaction. Honest people who showed up when they said they would, communicated any problems, were generally pleasant, and most importantly weren't trying to con me into buying something I didn't need.

One workday morning, the automatic garage door wouldn't open.  I called Lipe Brothers Construction, and within an hour Eric arrived and fixed the door.  It's worked fine ever since!
