DO NOT TRUST THIS MAN!! A CROOK OF THE WORST CALIBER. I bought a car from the owner so I could get back to Michigan. The owner, Jed Carlson, told me would send title to me. That was at the beginning of March. Despite me calling constantly he has not sent title so I called the DMV of MN and was told that he sold me a car that did not belong to him and that there is a lien on the car. I have called over ten times and all he does is lie. Tries to tell me he sent it, the DMV is too busy, then that he sent it again, that he would send proof, etc. All lies, over and over again. DO NOT TRUST THIS GUY. I REPEAT, DO NOT TRUST THIS GUY. A LIAR AND A THIEF. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ANYWHERE BUT HERE!!!!

Since my car was under warranty, the dealer chose this company to do the work on my car. When I called 3 days after they were to pick up my car, they assumed they knew where it was. After they towed the car on a Monday, I called to ask when they would be able to look at it, I was told the next afternoon or Wednesday morning. When I called Thursday, I was told they hadn't and wouldn't be looking at it until the next week since people who already had appointments with them took priority. When I called the next week I was told it would be looked at the next day. Calling again in 2 days, I was told the same thing and that it was and quot;just a car hop carand quot;, they would get to it, maybe tomorrow. I was losing patience 2 days later when I called to ask again, and was verbally attacked. Was actually told I'm ungrateful, at least I don't live in a third world country with no bus service. (this while I was informing them I was walking home 3 miles at midnight in January because the busses don't run that late. Then I was hung up on with no answer of a question. When I called back, a man who identified himself as Chad, the owner, verbally abused me, said it was his wife I was talking to before and he screamed that he told me when he towed it that it would be an f-ing week or so before he would look at it. I don't know if it was him who towed it or not, but the man had said nothing past answering me when I asked him the address of the shop. This is when I stopped dealing with them so much and asked the dealership to call on my behalf. On the second Thursday I was told the car was being looked at I would be called shortly with a diagnosis. Several hours later the call I got was and quot;oops, it was a grand am, just not yoursand quot; The next Monday I called and was told that my car would be in the shop within the next hour, it was the next one on the list. I said and quot;thank you, after 2 weeks it's about time.and quot; and hung up. I was called immediately by the owner who told me I was too much trouble and he now refused to look at my car. I'm paraphrasing, but f-bombs were frequent in his rant, I was accused of telling him he was incompetent, I was accused of threatening his wife, and he demanded to be paid for his troubles.
The dealer then took over, made arrangements that it would be moved to their other approved shop in Superior Wi. They towed it to a different shop in west duluth and left it there for 3 days claiming they had done no wrong.
The entire engine needed to be replaced. The man's abusive and hot tempered rants cost him several thousand dollars of work. Had he opened the hood even outside or started it he would have known, ordered parts and worked on other cars while he waited for the engine to be shipped. Had he treated me with any sort of respect I would have had no problem with the wait.
Response from Everything Automotive
"I feel as though this is not only unfair but false. Everything Automotive treats each and every customer the same. However, in this case respect wasn't given not only to myself but to my employees. This was my choice as an owner to not work on this vehicle and to redirect it back to CarHop due to the verbal and threatening behavior of the customer. In the 6 years I have owned and operated my shop, this was the first time I and my employees refused to work with a customer and their vehicle. This customer not only was verbally abusive towards myself and my employees but caused physical damage to my shop. I have communicated this all to CarHop whom has had their vehicles serviced and repaired by us for several years. All correspondence with CarHop on this matter is open for review. I cannot tolerate verbal and/or threatening behavior to myself or my employees. I have an obligation to my employees as much as I do to my customers and cannot falter from having a zero tolerance for violence and harassment in the work place."
