My experience with them was good. Nothing really stuck out. They were very good and professional. They did quality work.

They were consistent, they got the work done and I like the outcome.  I would recommend them to others.  Price wise I don’t have much to compare them to.  I did shop around but it was a while back and prices have changed.  I will use them in the future.

I am first time homeowner in North Minneapolis facing all kinds of expected and unexpected projects around the house. Rick and his team have been trustworthy, reliable, and professional. They have answered what might have been stupid questions thoroughly and patiently. They were willing to work to split up jobs (we do the demo, they do the install, for example) to limit costs. I strongly recommend them and will continue to work with them as opportunity and need arise.

We could not be happier with the result. We never could have come up with the original design that the architect came up with. We are also so glad that we chose Rick Wilson and Riverside Construction to do the work. Rick Wilson is one of the most nicest people you will ever meet. From the first time I met him I immediately knew he was honest and someone I could trust. We spent over $90,000 on this project and the result was worth every penny. Rick never tried to sell me on anything but offered a very detailed bid that clearly spelled out he intended to do and the cost. As we got into the project he would offer suggestions but it was always our decision on what to do. The company is truly a family operation as his father and sons all participated in the project. Whenever I called Rick regarding a question he was either available or called me back promptly. He was great to work with throughout the project and the quality of his work was excellent. He and everyone who worked on our house took alot of pride in what they did and made sure it was done right and to the specifications that were submitted. His bid was the lowest of the three we received but no one could match the quality of work that we received from him. I would highly recommend him for any home building project. He builds complete houses, remodeling, roofing etc.

Rick provided the most competitive bid of 3 solicited firms. He performed the work on time and completed the whole job in two days. The work quality was excellent. He replaced all vents, the shingles were aligned, the shingles butted the exterior walls properly. We have had a couple thunderstorms since the re-roof and absolutely no water issues. After they had completed the work, his crew did a great job cleaning up. He had the dumpster picked up immediately after the work was completed. Rick started work immediately upon receiving the down payment, and was low pressure about the remaining amount when complete. We are very pleased with his work and would highly recommend Riverside Construction.

Rick met with us to discuss our requirements. At that time, our intent was to replace the entire deck, including the frame. We removed the old decking ourselves and had the city inspector out to determine if the existing frame could be reused. The city approved reuse of the frame. Rick came back out again for a follow up discussion to finalize our plan. Our header was slightly warped and Rick offered to replace this too. The stairs needed to be totally rebuilt. Rick and his team took about two days to finish the project. Although Riverside was not our lowest bidder, Rick was very accommodating and willing to work with us to meet our needs. He was very professional and easy to work with. Our new deck is beautiful and more solid than the original. We will definitely consider Riverside for future projects.

I was so pleased with the craftsmanship and the total outcome of the deck. Rick added special touches and rolled with my sudden changes. I can't say enough good things about this contractor/carpenter. He picks up the phone! He communicates well and gets the job done. Clean up was great! I highly recommend Rick! Keep up the good work. You're a quality carpenter with good ideas & knowledge.

Rather than bring in a big ego and tell us everything HE was going to do for us, (like the previous contractors did) Rick listened, asked us what we wanted, and re-assured us he would work with us, and that he was flexible. We like to be able to do some things ourselves, to save money, and Rick was fine with that. We were impressed that he was "hands-on", had a lot of years of experience building, and remodeling and even more impressed when his bid came in substantially under the other bids. When it came to financing, our banker was worried he might have underbid or short-bid us to get the job, but the final cost was exactly was Rick said it would be. Even if he hadn't been the lowest bid, we would have hired him for the job because of his professional but approachable demeanor, and the sense that when he does a job he makes sure it is done right, and not just cheap. (We were right.) Through the whole process we were kept informed. The job was done well and in a timely manner.
