Quote was fine, and before the project started in a conversation Dave mentioned that he didn?t notice that the
basement WAS NOT a walk out. I told him that I wanted to have a good
relationship with a drywall contractor as I had other work and offered that if
he was going to get hurt financially I would adjust the bid amount. The drywall
showed up and the delivery guys got it in the basement no problem. The installers
came and installed it no problems; the clean-up guy was a JURK to my
mother-in-law and would not close the front door on a -15 day. Dave was told about
this and he apologized to me for this. Dave and one other came and sprayed and
taped upon his completion I paid him in full, it was before the holidays and I
was in a cheerful mood?. The sander came, I was told by Dave that he would be
there by noon; he showed up at 4 and was out by 5. Upon the painter starting
his work I was pulled down stairs and he started to point out all the missed
areas. Tape showing, corners that were missed, Knicks, pock marks, a poor
mudding and sanding job; just bad craftsmanship. The painter was told to paint
by me and I would deal with the issues afterwards. Dave from Accent was called
and 3 days later he called me back, when I told him that the sander missed many
areas his response was that the painters should have sanded it out. I asked him
to return and take care of it, reluctantly he said yes. When he arrived he was a
jerk to my wife. Mean, sarcastic, and didn?t think he was responsible for any
of it. He slapped some mud on most of the issue areas and left with a halfhearted
apology for my wife on the way out. I will have to hire someone else to finish
his poor craftsmanship. Accent Drywall is not worth hiring.
