Excellent customer service, the wood is well-seasoned.

Rob was great! Easy to reach, he came out a few days later, called with an estimated time the day before, was on time, super friendly, stacked the wood, and swept up. It was my first time getting firewood delivered and I'd definitely call him again!

We've bought firewood from Rob for the past three years. He's easy to reach and communicate with, and we've had our wood delivered within a week of calling him. He arrives with the delivery right on schedule, and the wood is neatly stacked in the yard. This year we bought half a cord, more than would fit in our rack, and the remainder was neatly stacked next to the rack. The wood is dry and burns well. We'll continue to buy firewood from Rob.

Great - We get a fireplace cord each year. Always happy with the variety and quality of the wood provided. Rob and his assistant are always courteous, quick, and professional.

This is the third year we have bought wood from Rob. The 2 previous years the wood was very good. This year is the worst wood I have bought in 7 years. It is almost all mildewed basswood. I paid for oak and said I didn't care if there was some birch mixed in. I paid for 3 fireplace cords. The wood was short stacked which means the stacks were only 7 ft long and less than 4 feet high. The ends were also cross stacked,sometimes with only 2 logs per level. When I restacked it in our backyard I was short over 3/4 of a cord. Out of what was suppose to be 3 fireplace cords there were only 3 wheel barrows of actual oak or birch. I o fine wood working and was a contractor for over 30 years I know my wood species quite well. I am very disappointed. I still have 1 1/2 unused cords that a representative of Angie's List is welcome to inspect.

I was a repeat customer for this vendor, and I do mean was as I will not be using them again in the future.  The first year the product they delivered was excellent.  The wood was properly dried without being overly dry and the size was perfect for a wood burning stove.  Fast forward to last November and he called me asking if I wanted another delivery again this year.  After several failed attempts with sub-par vendors in the past I was happy to give him my repeat business.  Unfortunately this is where the fairy tale ended.  I paid full price for a full chord of wood this year.  This was more expensive than other vendors, but I figured with my previous year's experience, I could trust their product and professionalism.  I also figured that with buying a full chord of wood I could heat my house entirely with firewood this year.  
The wood I received this past year was all extremely dry and all the pieces were very small, some of the wood was so dry it was actually grey in color.  At first I figured it was part of the 'extra load' that I bought, which was a portion of a load that they had as part of their other deliveries of the day.  It was easy to start a fire with due to the dryness, but it was impossible to let a fire go all night because it simply burned much too quickly.  In a bit over a month I had already burned through a quarter of the stack.  I took stock of the remaining wood and it was all the same, dry and smaller pieces.
After a bit over a month later I called to inform the vendor of the situation and that I would be looking for a new vendor in the following year.  He was extremely apologetic and asked about a replacement and a discount in the future.  He quoted the size of the delivery I received and even that he knew that I burned quite a bit of wood.  If they were willing to replace my un-used wood for free I told him that would go a long way.
About a week later a part of his crew came by the house with a replacement load, though they only brought between a quarter to half of what I had left.  This is after Rob quoted the size of the load I received when I called him.  Their claim was that Rob was on vacation for the winter and would return in the spring to replace whatever was left...in the spring...when I wouldn't likely need as much wood to burn.  Instead of arguing I simply let them do their job.  Fast forward another few months and all my wood is gone and I feel like I paid full price a premium price for less than half of the promised product.
Overall I can't say that I would use this vendor again.  The inconsistency of the product is of EXTREME concern.  This is firewood, something you use to heat your house.  With the number of other professional providers available here in the twin cities, repeat customers should be their bread and butter.  Repat customers also mean more referrals.  If you do go with this vendor, be sure to inspect the product you are receiving.  This could have been a one-time issue, as in they delivered from an older stack of wood that had simply been left to dry for too long, but the experience afterwards simply leaves a bad taste in my mouth.  Knowing the fact that I called to complain and quoting the original amount of wood I received and they still didn't deliver on the promised product is unacceptable.

It went great. I called them earlier in the week and they were out by the weekend, so it went very quickly. They were polite and professional. I liked everything about the experience.

This is the second year that we have used Rob Taylor's service.  We were a little busy this year and were thankful that he reached out to us to ask if we were looking for wood again.  We agreed on a price/date and he even called to ask if it was ok to deliver it earlier than agreed upon.  When he arrived, and finished the job he had extra wood so we purchased that as well.  Unlike other vendors we have used, there wasn't a large mess that was left for us to clean up either.  
The wood itself burns really well!  The size of the pieces are pretty uniform and none of it is punky (soft/starting to rot) or overly dry.   This is a huge plus when you are trying to heat your house throughout the day and can plan accordingly.  While I cannot comment on the exact mixture of wood, It seems to be pretty decent mix.  We've had several friends comment on the pleasant odor as it burns which is a nice plus.  
In all we are very happy with the repeat service.  It's obvious that Rob treats this as a business and cares about his customers and their satisfaction with his product.  I look forward to working with his team again next year.

This was our second year buying firewood from Rob.  The quality of last year's wood was excellent so we decided to get it from him again.  He delivers a nice combination of wood for easy fire starting and nice, long-burning fires.  He was punctual and pleasant and we plan to use him in the future.

Rob and a helper were right on time, just like last year, friendly, efficient, and delivered a quality product.  Not only was it quality, dry, hardwood, but Rob will also stack the firewood for you.  If you have ever split, hauled, and stacked firewood, you know that this is hard work and a terrific value-add for the service.  I have recommended Rob to my neighbors and plan to use his product and service next year as well.

Second year I bought firewood from Rob. He delivers a what he promises, on time, quickly and cleanly.
Last years wood was great. A good mix of dry, unifoormly sized firewood that burns well.

I was very impressed that Rob answered my phone call every time I tired to contact him!  I never got an answering machine or voice mail. That was so helpful in my very busy schedule..knowing I could get a hold of him in the few minutes I had between commitments! He is very courteous and helpful.  Easy to talk with!  He delivered the wood exactly at the time we set up on the phone.  Had it stacked and ready to go in a short time. I would highly recommend Rob and will use him again in the future!

This is the 3rd time we have purchased firewood from Rob.  His prices are fair and he is very professional and punctual.   We are so impressed with Rob that we have hired him to trim a huge maple tree for us.

It went great!  They showed up when they said they would, neatly stacked the firewood and cleaned up afterward.

Went good. No problems The price was not $0.00 as listed above, but  I can't remember the price for the fireplace chord of wood I purchased. I do remember shopping around, and he was in line.
