Builder held back vital information right from the start of the project. When we first met this builder he stated that "there is one thing he don't like to talk about and that's money". Way too many surprises and he was not honest when asked about questions pertaining to the budget. Money was allocated for flat work and finish grade excavation but the builder used that money to pay for his mistakes. All upgrades and some of his overages were paid out of our pocket. Why would he tell us that all his bids were padded but in reality they were not. As homeowners we were not told about change orders until work was done and thousands more over budget. This builder is very misleading and lacks integrity. Lesson learned here: save yourself 15 to 20 percent and sub the job out yourself because anybody can make phone calls to line up a contractor to do a specific job.

Bottom line here we were 15,000 dollars over budget..
