About us

Park Grove Pet Hospital has been in Cottage Grove for 40+ years. We have 4 veterinarians practicing at our clinic, Dr. Cederstrom (practice owner) and Dr. Sturtz are both full time veterinarians. Dr. Wiersma is our part time veterinarian. Park Grove Pet Hospital is proud to be accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). Less than 15% of all animal hospitals in the United States carry this distinction and meet the highest standards in professional pet care. Becoming an AAHA-accredited practice was a goal of our hospital for several years, and we completed this voluntary accreditation program in 2011. We offer personalized care plans based on each pet's specific needs. We see a variety of animals, dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, guinea pigs, rodents, reptiles, etc.

Morgan the Vet tech and Dr. Strantz were very nice and helpful. They were very kind and loving with Belle. Belle especially loved all the treats she received during the exam. We will definitely be going back.

Dr. Cederstrom and the entire staff are the most caring people you can work with. They gave us plenty of time with our dog to say goodbye and did not rush the procedure.

The staff is very warm, very friendly and are very caring with the animals. Even the receptionist makes a big fuss about the animals when they came in.

Drs Cederstrom and Hanson are two of the nicest and caring veterinarians I have known.  They remember my dogs name without prompting and show genuine concern for their patients.  Definitely a recommendation here.

In the case of the Mesquite thorn infection, I first notice stiffness in my Setter, Zorro, following running him in Texas in Mesquite country.  I took him to another Vet who said she thought it was stiffness from a pulled muscle.  As soon as I could once I was back in MN, I took him into Dr. Cederstrom who examined him and diagnosed an infection.  He performed analysis of a blood sample, discovering very high levels of white blood cells, and rushed him into surgery, discovering an absess so deep he could put his forefinger into it.  He cleaned it out, installed a drain which was in for a week, and put him on antibiotics.  Zorro recovered completely.  I can't recommend Park Grove Pet Hospital and Dr. Cederstrom in particular highly enough.

We've boarded our dogs in the past, and have been using Park Grove since we relocated too far away from our old veterinarian. Their staff is consistently friendly, competent, hospital is clean, and our critters aren't scared to go to the doctor. Invaluable in a vet!

ANGEL DID VERY WELL. THE CLINIC IS VERY CLEAN AND SMELLS GOOD. THE STAFF IS VERY FRIENDLY TO HUMANS AND ANIMALS. THEY GENUINELY CARE. OUR DOG IS VERY HAPPY TO GO VISIT FOR ANY REASON!
