It was a good experience and the price was a tiny bit high when compared to my former place I used to go on the west side of the city otherwise it was all fine.  They were prompt and took care of everything.

All is good. They get a B for the price. But dealership would have been a lot more.

New battery

Dropped car off just before going out-of-town, and picked up car when I returned.  Work was all done.

It always goes fine - No problem, easy to talk too, and work with.

I told them I was going out of town and they were able to get everything done that day.  They also provided transportation while my car was being worked on during the day.

These folks did a fantastic job I was expecting to pay a lot more than I did,in fact I added a few minor thing to do and it still was under the original estimate. As a person Leary of mechanics to start with,these guys were to notch! I would recommend them to anyone.

Carlson is fantastic.  As I mentioned, I was having some strange transmission issues with my car.  They quickly realized that the issues encountered weren't something that they should probably work on for me as they thought that the service could still be provided under the manufacturers warranty.  
We've had this sort of thing happen with Carlson a number of times where they have either pointed us to someone else, but more importantly they have told us when we shouldn't perform a service because it wouldn't be worth the money.  Don't get me wrong, they have done a number of services to cars and the quality of work has been great.  
Nothing tells me that a car repair shop is trustworthy as when they tell me I shouldn't get something repairs (i.e. taking money out of their own pocket).   Customer for life!

Got a prompt response, a next day appointment, a matter of fact explanation as to why the other guys charge so much for the same service, and help in making a decision on the amount to spend on this van.  Found Steve to be helpful and straightforward.  Thanks!

Car was dropped without an appointment. They called very soon after dropping it off to let me know it was not the alternator ($300-500) but the battery ($100). I could have replaced it myself, but their price for a replacement was competitive enough not to be worth picking one up and installing. Good response time, high integrity.

I got a great deal. The pricing was very competitive. The work was done in a really timely manner. They could squeeze me in right away which was nice. I would use them again in the future.

They were very professional and quick and did tire inspection and rotation at no extra charge. After picking up my vehicle the brake light was still on, so I added brake fluid. I thought that they would have checked it.

I HAD MY CAR TOWED TO CARLSON AUTO FRIDAY EVENING AND WAS LUCKY TO FIND THE OWNER, JOHN BEDARD STILL THERE. HE SAID HIS MECHANIC CAN LOOK AT IT IN THE MORNING. THAT WOULD BE SATURDAY, WHICH THEY ARE NOT NORMALLY OPEN. THEY WERE TRYING SATURDAYS AS AN OPTION FOR CUSTOMERS. THE MECHANIC, DAVE WEEKS CALLED ME THE NEXT DAY AND TOLD ME WHAT WAS WRONG AND HOW MUCH IT WOULD COST. HE FINISHED IT THAT DAY AND I PICKED IT UP THAT AFTERNOON. I ASKED DAVE IF HE HAD CHECKED MY TIRES, BECAUSE I NOTICED BEFORE MY BREAK DOWN ONE TIRE WAS LOW. HE SAID HE MISSED THAT, BUT WOULD CHECK IT OUT IMMEDIATELY. HE CAME IN AFTER ABOUT 15 MINUTES AND SAID HE FOUND A 3 INCH PIECE OF METAL, THAT HAD PUNCTURED THE TIRE AND SHOWED IT TO ME. HE ALSO SAID HE FIXED IT WITH A REPAIR PLUG. NO CHARGE. OVERALL, I WOULD SAY IT WAS GOOD, BECAUSE MY CAR WAS REPAIRED RIGHT AWAY IN A SHORT AMOUNT OF TIME. THE PRICE SEEMED HIGH TO ME, BUT I DIDN'T DO ANY COMPARISON SHOPPING.
