Absolutely dreadful customer service from their office personnel. Our association had been customers of Best Irrigation since 1995. The original owners of Best Irrigation sold the business before 2022 and while the original workers are still wonderful and professional, the owners and office personnel are some of the worst vendors with whom I have ever worked. Their billing practices are inconsistent. Without notifying our association in advance, for start up and repair services which had been cancelled and delayed for many weeks, after their services were delivered, their billing ranged per home from $75 to $100, for the same service, which should have been charged at the group rate of $75.00. They sometimes requested payment immediately when services were completed, including a surprise additional trip charge of $70 "reduced" to $40 (per homeowner) - even if the homes were next door to each other and serviced on the same day. Invoices were sporadic, with varying dates, and receipts may or may not have been received. The homeowners they called who did not receive an invoice, many of whom were elderly and easy to intimidate, were told there were "post office issues," and were also demanded the "trip charge" fees.

The office staff was helpful and professional. The workers were on time. However, they were less than honest and played with the price to the extent that they were obviously trying to take advantage of my wife. Initially verbally quoting a price on changing a small section of burst pipe, they quoted a much higher price to replace "the whole thing". The higher price was not justified considering the work. The labor involved was no greater, the quoted cost should not have been nearly double. Had I been there, I would not have agreed to the price. When completed, my wife asked that they turn on the sprinkler to see if it worked. Not a full service, mind you, just turn it on to see if the repairs were done properly. One of the workers said it would cost another $88. That is absurd to just turn on the system. The other worker ended up turning it on without charge. Then the first worker wanted to charge over the quoted amount, saying it took them longer than expected to do the repair. When asked how long they had been there, he said 1 hour. I cannot imagine the first quote was for under an hour. When challenged on that, he said he had to charge extra because of parts. However, the initial quote was for "the whole thing" to be replaced, so there should have been no additional parts. My wife ended up calling the office and speaking to the manger, who agreed on the initial quote and even a small reduction, which still put the cost of this service to be $100 more than it should be.

The fellow we use for many years to blow our sprinkler retired, and we were referred to Best Irrigation by a friend. Best did an ever better job of winterizing than our previous provider. We definitely will be using them in the future.

The estimate for labor and materials was $346, but when I called to pay for it, suddenly the price had risen to $545 without the sprinkler head. I told the owner that I would not pay that much more than the estimate, and that the crew should remove the new controller and cease the blowout immediately. They took off the new controller, but left me with bunch of unlabeled wires with the old controller left on the ground and the water lines still filled with water.

Talked to Dennis and he was upfront with his pricing which was very fair. I mentioned I would like this issue resolved asap and today was my only day off to be around. He quickly sent one of his technician *Jake* and within 20 mins he was at my house. I can understand not everyone is available, but I was glad they were. Jake worked fast and answered my questions as he was repairing my leaky sprinkler. He was finished within 30 mins and I asked to see if he could look at another sprinkler head that isn't functioning correctly. He said its easily replaceable for $20 and I agreed...I even said to go and replace another sprinkler head for a total of 2. Overall my experience with them was great and will be using them in the future.

They came on the day they promised. I just wished they would have left a note saying they had been there. We called about that issue and were told that issue would be addressed with the employees.

They did a very good job have used them for years but I got a huge surprise when I received the bill in the mail it was for 180.00. They were here for just short of an hour. They said they just raised their prices but for a "technician" that is being paid I would guess 20.00 an hour, 20.00 worth of product and a 10 mile trip this is highway robbery. Loved their service for many years but the recent price increase makes this a company I cannot do business with anymore.

This is the third year I've used them and I continue to be satisfied. They were promised between noon and 4pm. My doorbell rang at 12:01. I turned off the water and he went to work. He was able to work around our failing control box, since we have two valves tied into one solenoid.

I called late (shame!) and was given an appointment about one week away. When they arrived in the morning, one of the heads was frozen, so they couldn't continue. My reschedule was for two weeks away. They were able to complete the winterizing on the second trip. Surprisingly, they only charged me for one trip. The serviceman was very polite, and apologized for the request, but asked to use my bathroom. He was very courteous, so it was no problem. This company was referred to me by our Realtor. They are not the usual service people for our sprinklers, some other company has their sticker on the control box. But Best charges $30 less for winterizing. I may be switching sprinkler service companies.

INITIAL CALL FOR APPOINTMENT WAS PROMPTLY ANSWERED. LIKE THE CABLE GUYS, THEY GAVE A LONG WINDOW (BETWEEN NOON AND 4PM) FOR ARRIVAL. BY 3:30, THEY WEREN'T THERE. I CALLED TO CHECK ON THEIR PROGRESS, AND THEY STILL HAD ANOTHER JOB BEFORE MINE. I HAD TO LEAVE FOR SCHOOL, SO I RESCHEDULED - MAKING SURE TO MAKE A MORNING APPOINTMENT. I WAS GIVEN A TIME WITHIN A WEEK FROM 8AM TO NOON. SERVICE GUY ARRIVED AROUND 8:30AM. SOME OF THE VALVES DIDN'T WORK, SO HE FOUND THE CONTROLS IN THE YARD AND OPENED THEM MANUALLY. HE SAID THAT HE "BLEW" EACH VALVE TWICE TO BE SURE THEY WERE CLEAR. I HAD A FEW QUESTIONS ABOUT THE JOB (SINCE WE MOVED FROM CA), AND HE PATIENTLY ANSWERED THEM. TOTAL TIME WAS ABOUT 35 MINUTES. ALTHOUGH I'M GLAD HE MADE SURE THAT HE DRAINED EVERY VALVE, I LATER FOUND THAT HE DIDN'T REPLACE VALVE COVERS AROUND LAWN (NOT A BIG DEAL). (LACK OF STRAIGHT A'S DOESN'T REFLECT DISSATISFACTION, BUT RATHER AN ATTEMPT TO RATE ACCURATELY - SERVICE WAS GOOD, NOT EXCELLENT.)
