Janssen Painting and Decorating did an outstanding job. They go above and beyond what we expected. Corey, the owner, was here painting and taping and all those things a professional does. We will have him back this Spring to do some exterior work. Thank You Corey

We hired Cory to paint the inside of our house and remove wallpaper in several rooms and remove texture from ceiling. We had some sheetrock issues in a couple of rooms, he said he could fix it however the issue could not be corrected. Cory offered a "interior design consultant" however the lady was way off on colors even after talking to us, even Cory said she was out there sometimes. So why offer her services? We gained nothing from that 'added' service and explained that to him. Cory charged us for clean up when in fact he did not clean up as promised or charged us for - when confronted he agreed and removed the charge. Cory took longer than he promised because he seemed to be leaving to go do estimates - making us think our job wasn't as important as his 'next job' - Cory would then come in acting like he needed to hu

"In response to this review there is a few things I would like to say, there is no way to remove wallpaper without having cleanup involved. Removing wallpaper is a messy wet process, we do our best to contain the mess on plastic and tarps but the fact is, we have to spray solution or sponge it on to loosen up the glue, then scrape it off. Then we have to wash the walls twice to ensure all the glue is off or the paint will orange peel. After we wash the wall we needed to skim coat and sand, all these steps are necessary and require CLEANUP. I charged a hourly rate for wallpaper removal only because there is no way to determine how long it will take. The client requested a breakdown of hours and I hade cleanup in the hours. I only removed the cleanup to avoid conflict and to ensure customer satisfaction. I pay for the color consult out of my own pocket, this service is to help my clients with color choices. I have never received a complaint for a free service before! When I left to do 1 estimate I clocked out but still had 3 people there working, as the owner of a small business I have to leave sometimes to estimate future jobs. This client bought a house that had very poor sheetrock work when the addition was built. We skim coated the walls 3 times to try to fix the issue. Please read all my other reviews"

The job was done efficiently and well. From estimate and professional recommendations of color and paint type to the finished product, everything turned out better than we had hoped. Even after we thought the work was completed, Corey found a couple of places that he wasn't satisfied, and returned to meet his own expectations. Corey and Matt were both very respectful and courteous and come recommended for a quality job.

The engagement started with a thorough walk-around of the house noting areas needing special attention.Janssen provides color consultation with a professional decorator as part of the package, which included trial testing of several alternative color combinations. We feel that this made our final result more successful.
The painting preparation included: - thorough power wash of exterior followed by several days of drying - masking of areas not to be painted such as light fixtures, water spigots, the air conditioner, and windows - caulking of any loose, missing, or failing joints - scraping and sanding of flaking paint - covering patios, shrubs, decks, raiings, etc. to avoid paint drips
The painting itself: - priming of areas with exposed wood - two complete coats of premium paint - first coat was sprayed and brushed into the wood - second coat was hand brushed or rolled for consistency - a contrasting accent trim color was expertly hand painted
We have owned this house for 25+ years and it has been painted several times, but never as professionally and with as much satisfaction as with Janssen.
Since the painting we have received numerous compliments from neighbors, and even by people driving by the house.
