I called Hedquist Electric on Friday August 2nd to get an estimate to upgrade my electrical service from fuse to circuit breaker panel. We are contemplating placing our house on the real estate market in 2014 and had been advised by a realtor that the majority of people financing home purchases went through either FHA or VA and that these two entities would not approve a loan for a house with an electrical fuse panel. We made an appointment for the following Monday. Mr. Hedquist was punctual and examined my current service entry. He was fairly thorough in his inspection, and he noted to me that upgrading would be subject to current codes and that there were several existing impediments that would have to be resolved such as moving a cabinet that would have been in a restricted space, rerouting a dryer vent and obtaining access to the main water supply for bonding to the new service panel. He left and stated that he would mail me an estimate. The estimate was received by me two weeks and one day later by mail. When I originally wrote this review, I had thought that Mr. Hedquist was not going to provide an estimate due to the length of time from the first visit/inspection and gave him a low grade as a result. I was somewhat surprised by the length of time involved in him submitting his proposal, and this reflects the revised overall grade of "B".
