Being highly recommended, we contacted Verlyn Vander Lugt, owner of Ver-Van LLC. Prior to bidding on our project, he spent a considerable amount of time working with Andersen Windows, and he methodically measured and considered all aspects of the job at hand. We agreed to his bid and contracted with him to do the project.
When the windows arrived at Andersen, he arranged a date for delivery of the windows and for beginning the project. He and a helper removed the old windows and installed the new windows in one day ensuring that the rain we were to receive would not negatively impact the project or the end result. The job required finding, installing, and painting trim that was as close as possible to the original trim. He worked with paint suppliers to get the exact matching paints required. Again, he was very thorough in every aspect of the project. The job was completed during two subsequent days.
Verlyn was very careful, methodical, and professional. He protected plants in the garden outside of the window and left the inside perfectly clean. He re-installed the shades and repositioned the furniture that had to be moved prior to starting the project. He also did some extra work that was not in his contract, but something that he discovered needed to be done to comply with state codes. He did the extra work free of charge.
We highly recommend Ver-Van LLC.
and thorough and wouldn't push a job that didn't need to be done. Because of the cost, we decided to get the ones on the south side of the house done first because they were the worst. He took me to look at floor samples and choose what I wanted. We were uncertain what we might find when the sliding glass door came out, but it was just needing some minor repairs, which Verlyn did. He and his crew were on time and worked steadily (with some breaks and lunch) for several days. They did each window completely before moving on to the next. They cleaned up each day (leaving some equipment on the premises but no big holes in the wall). They reinstalled the curtains and blinds when they were done. Verlyn came back later to check on everything and tweak a few things. He's meticulous and wants everything to be just right and his clients happy. He's easy to work with and explains anything you want to know about the work or his recommendations.
