Long story short, Mark did an incredible job.  He owns investment property so he knows how to get the best results for the least amount of money.  He'll keep what's good and replace what's not.  He shops at the Habitat for Humanity stores as much as possible, which saves money and is good for the environment (plus it's a good cause).  He replaced the crumbling load-bearing wall in the basement with a triple micro-lam beam supported on heavy posts and large new concrete footings.  Everything he did passed inspection the first time around.  He redesigned the kitchen and with a few relatively simple changes took an awkward inefficient layout and turned it into a classic stove-fridge-sink triangle that was both a joy to look and and a pleasure to work in.  For the backsplash, he recommended slate tiles which were being closed out at some of the local Lowe's stores.  That saved a bundle and looked terrific.  I could go on, but I think you get the idea.  I would recommend Mark Pierce and MP Systems to anyone for any home repair or remodeling job, large or small.  I am a value-shopping fanatic, and Mark and his crew reliably and consistently provide excellent value.
