Don's Circle Service gave us an estimate of over $2900. To replace a timing chain on my Wife's 2010 Equinox. Ridiculous. It is a 4 to 6 hour job by the book. The timing chain is under $100.00 at O'Reilly's Auto parts. Don's Cicle Service in Lino Lakes is not recommended.

Good Guys to do business with.  Discount for cash payment.  Brought it in on a Monday, had it back on Wednesday.  Part had to be ordered.  They are close by so he brought the car to me and I drove him back to the garage.

Actually the converter has been replaced 3 times these guys.  The first failure they blaimed on the brand of converter they used and it was replaced with a Walker brand converter.  That also failed but it lasted a little longer.  They replaced that converter at no charge and in 3 months time the check engine light was on again with the same codes as before.

  The orignal timing belt repair was done at Thomas motors and I wish I had gone back to them when the problem occurred after they had installed a new timing belt and water pump kit.   That was in April of 2015.  It's now January 2016 and we have spent over 2000 dollars on a car that is probably worth 5K tops.  It may have been much less expensive if I had stuck with Thomas motors, not because they are better but if in fact the original installation of the timing belt caused the recurrent catalytic converter failures then they would not have chared to fix that issue. 

We still  don't if this problem is fixed.  I hold my breath when driving this car waiting for that check engine light to pop on again.  Now I know why mechanics refer to it as the money light. 

I guess the bottom line is to stick with one shop if you can for repairs and make sure they waranty their work in writing.  The reason I didn't go back to Thomas motor was they said it would be a week to get the car in when the catalytic converter failed the first time after the timing belt kit had been installed.

They always can find the problem. They're kind of far out there, but I go there for the good service.

I have been using Dons Circle Service for many years and have always been happy with their work and professionalism. I took my car (a 2001 Ford Focus) into the shop because it was running rough and would occasionally die in traffic. Dean checked it out and determined that the valve seats were worn and needed to be replaced. The job was expensive, but I decided to go ahead with it. The work was done in a timely manner and the car runs great now. I have recommended them to many friends.

Terrible customer service. Would never recommend and will definitely not go back.

He is so knowledgeable and honest. I have been really impressed with him. I had a problem with the air conditioning in my vehicle. Instead of buying the whole part and making me pay a lot of money, he found a small part that I needed for a lot less money. He is such an excellent business man, but he is still a great mechanic and so knowledgeable, and he can fix anything. When I drop the car off, he usually has everything fixed by that evening.
