Reflection Flooring

Hit a snag, but good resolution.
Found this provider at a local home show. We had decided to stay local if possible, and their selection and knowledge brought us to their showroom. We needed flooring for our kitchen. This is a high traffic area (our most-used entry) and we live on a farm; it needed to be capable of dealing with frequent cleaning, and with the abrasion of muddy and sandy foot traffic. As there are chemical sensitivities in the household, we needed a non-glue installation, and we didn't want a nail-down install because of the type of floor structure. Our research led us to a floating installation of bamboo flooring. Their price was reasonable (and included a discount for the home show sale). They were willing to defer the delivery until we felt we could accept it.
This is family operation, and they do flooring maintenance (carpet cleaning, etc) jobs as well. There is a little room for improvement in their time/scheduling estimates, but they were both communicative and cooperative. The flooring and premium underlayment was delivered to our staging area -- no problem. It wasn't until another of our household noticed the day-glo green stickers on the boxes saying "for glue-down installation only" that we knew we had an issue.
We called the company, and we realized that the literature that they were given FROM THE REGIONAL DISTRIBUTOR was incomplete. When they researched the product through the manufacturer, the restrictions were clearly stated. So we ended up returning the unopened flooring and they delivered the replacement flooring. Unfortunately, the replacement needed for the installation we required resulted in a thicker, and therefore more expensive product. Still, it was the product we wanted, and the show discount still applied, and they were willing to "split the difference" on the additional billing in compensation for the trouble.
Our finished flooring is WONDERFUL. We're very pleased with the results, and yes, we would recommend this company to others.
