Precision Heating & Cooling

We needed to replace our 18-year old furnace back in October. Precision was one of the companies we contacted to do the work, and we are very pleased we chose them. Precision provided a competitive quote, plus they found us some elusive manufacturer rebates that other companies didn't know about. The installation was completed exactly when they said it would be, the technician who did the installation was extremely capable, experienced, knowledgeable, professional, and considerate of our home, and Precision coordinated all the manufacturer and utility rebates for us. Our Bryant furnace is still working very well three months after the installation. I honestly don't know how anyone could have done a better job than Precision did for us. Incidentally, we've also used Precision for our annual maintenance for a number of years, and we've had the same great experience with them on this, as well.

Furnace would not heat up to set temperature point. Precision was able to get a service person out to our house in less than 45 minutes! (Very prompt service.) Turned out to be a restrictive air filter. Problem solved quickly. We had them do some maintenance/cleaning while they were out.

They were able to tap straight into the ductwork they had done when previous owner upgraded heating system. They were fast, courteous and did exactly what they said they would.

I called three companies from Angies List this morning to get a quote for the installation of a humidifier that attaches to the furnace. Precision Heating and Cooling's estimate came in $65 under the other quote I received (the third company put me through to a voicemail of a salesperson - I didn't bother to leave a message). Precision told me they could fit me in today. They gave me a one hour window that they would arrive in and were on time. They said it would take 3 hours. It took about 2.5 hours. They put drop cloths from the front door all the way down to my furnace room. The technician was courteous and gave me a great tutorial on how to use the equipment and the maintenance that I need to do on it. He also pointed out a crack in a piece of my furnace and suggested that I use silicone caulk to fix the problem after the heating season is over. Super helpful and went above and beyond!!

I had an excellent experience. They were professional from the salesman down to the installers. They were neat and cleaned up after themselves, which seems to be hard to come by these day.

Things worked out very well. Very professional group. Answered all my questions. Was impressed with their follow-up on two issues: (1) They handled the paperwork for the MRVEC rebate and (2) Their service team was prompt in fixing a problem with a defective thermostat. Also, the final cost was about $1,000 less than other, more well known Twin Cities heating and cooling companies! Very nice, indeed!

Price was very good. Precision was one of the few dealers that was comfortable putting in a heat pump in our area. Precision was also willing to add refrigerant to our ailing old air conditioner allowing us to get through a long weekend before the new equipment was installed. We appreciated the cool house while we waited for the install. Install went very smooth, prompt, professional and courteous team. Unfortunately, a cap outside at the heat pump was not closed tightly and the refrigerant leaked allowing the coil to freeze up after two days. Pretty cool, though the Evolution controller was able to tell the tech exactly where to look. In addition, at install, our two dampers (duel zone duct work, but no electronic controllers) were removed because of the new, larger coil and the install team forgot to tell us or make plans for reinstalling them. Precision did come back out and fix the refrigerant issue promptly and ordered new dampers and installed them when they came in. Each experience with the techs was very good, very professional. The issues at install were a hassle, just simple missteps but did not cloud the overall experience.

Overall, I was very impressed with Precision. From the scheduling person to the technician, everyone was very professional. The technician, Rod, arrived right on time. He explained what he intended to do and continued to explain the workings of the furnace, humidifier and fan in a very professional manner. He was thorough, yet timely. It was a great experience overall.
