Matt did an excellent job on my floors. His crew tore out old carpet and tiles and replaced it with a gorgeous hickory wood floor. I couldn't have had a better experience. They were professional, knowledgeable and caring people who went the extra mile to make sure I was happy.

Good selection of products and clear estimate allowing me to do some removal of old products and surface preparation to lower installation cost. Great job of installation with flexibility on installing order that made it easier for us moving furniture from room to room.

It went very well. They came as promised and completed the work the same day and removed all old carpeting. It looks very nice.

We met Matt through a mutual friend. We were having to replace carpet in our home that is less than two years old so we had been looking at numerous stores to locate the best deal and someone who would stand behind their work. Matt came to our home and brought samples with him. He wanted to see our home as well as the carpet that had been installed when our home was built in 2011. Matt was always prompt and professional. He met with us numerous times and allowed us as much time to think about this decision as possible. The installers were timely on arrival and did a good job installing. They cleaned up after themselves before leaving our home.

In August we purchased our first home and decided to have laminate wood flooring in our basement. We contacted three flooring companies and FCI had the lowest price and the product we were looking for. Contacting them and scheduling appointments were for the most part very easy, however their contractor missed scheduled installation dates twice. Dealing with the people at FCI was ok the work that was done in our basement was NOT. Keeping in mind our project was a difficult one with uneven concrete flooring and crooked walls, we knew it wouldn't be easy for anyone to handle. The contractor, was very nice but did not do well as a professional should on the job, some of the work was very AMATEUR. Initially we were very happy with the floor but as time went on we kept noticing more and more mistakes in the craftsmanship.
I had to recently remove most of the flooring due to water seepage (it is a basement and this had nothing to do with the install). I found a couple more things and that led me to writing this review. After lifting up most of the flooring I found that the "moisture barrier" was no more than a very flat plastic sheet. Not only were parts of it upside down, even though it clearly states "This Side Up", but some small square sheets weren't even connected to the others at all. This left big gaps between the "moisture barrier" perhaps he thought since it was covered up it didn't matter.
At the end of the job he also laid down transition strips on the edges. They were not stained, just heavily glued down and very uneven. He used my two of my dumbbell weights to keep them pressed down. This was why they were so uneven.  A couple areas in the floor had small gaps between laminate boards this caused them to start chipping on the corners even though the floor is less than nine months old.  There was also sawdust that we had to clean up twice after the contractor had been there. So while it was not an easy job the mistakes made were not a product of conditions but of professionalism and consideration that this was someone's home.

FCI was ok to work with but I'd be very hesitant by the quality of who actually installs your floors.
