It went very good. They were very responsive and came out within a few days. When first contacted they provided some suggestions on what smoke alarms to install, which made for a better ans safer system for my home.

Great. Steve first tried to trouble shoot over the phone to save me the price of a service call. When that was not successful, he scheduled a service call the next morning. He was professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. He discovered that the issue was a wire disconnected in the switch rather than an outlet issue and repaired that. I would definitely recommend Bishop Electric.

Work and inspections were completed promptly, the final price came in very close to the initial estimate and Steve always maintained communication through the process.

Steve did a great job wiring my basement. He was very clear communicating, offered a great price, and provided excellent quality.

I needed a replacement ceiling fan wired up correctly. We replaced an existing ceiling fan with light for a new one with remote control. Installed the fan myself but couldn't get the wiring right and didn't want to short out the receiver or the remote(again).Steve scheduled me within a few days, stopped by and got everything in working order. I would readily use Bishop Electric again for any electrical work.

Steve was good about communicating and easy to work with on scheduling. He gave me some good suggestions when I was trying to figure out what to do about replacing the old dated fixtures. He arrived on time and it all went very smoothly. The lights look great.

I called Steve Bishop regarding a GFI that had tripped and would not reset. He returned my call within 1/2 hour and, instead of making a service call, talked me through some things to check to determine what was causing the issue with the GFI. In less than 5 minutes I knew I had a faulty power strip and the GFI reset successfully. He did not charge for this service - which saved me both time and money. Plus, I now know what to do if this happens again. You can be assured that I will call Bishop Electric the next time I need an electrician.

Steve did an excellent job! We were in the middle of a siding project on our home and Steve worked very well with the siding crew to make sure that things were done timely and to our complete satisfaction. Steve had to make several trips to our home as things had to be done in stages to coordinate with the siding crew. Steve was very professional and very friendly throughout the entire project. Even the crew leader on the siding project made mention that he was very impressed with Steve. He said that they work with a lot of electricians and the way that Steve wanted to make sure that everything was done right the first time really impressed him. The exterior can lighting on our home looks amazing and the dusk to dawn sensor was a brilliant idea by Steve! Thank you Steve and when we get ready to finish the basement we will definitely be giving you a call!

Mr. Bishop showed up on time , diagnosed and repaired the problem in no time. He was friendly and professional.

It wasn't just a basic installation. When the old lights were removed the support that secured the lights to the siding had to be replaced. Very satisfied with the quality of work and professionalism of contractor and pricing was very fair.

I was very impressed by Steve's professionalism and knowledge. He was friendly, and quickly made me feel confident in his skills, and comfortable with him in my home. He took the time to explain the situation, so even a very non-electrical person could understand. He completed the work very timely, and his estimate and charges were reasonable for the work completed. I would definitely recommend Steve to other family and friends. I am pleased I will no longer have to worry about fuses and fuse boxes that made me nervous for sure. I am a happy customer with hot water!

I needed to call an electrician to install a cable jack in my home to get internet connection in a new location as Mediacom unfortunately does not provide this service. I called Steve Bishop based on the reviews on Angie's List and he did not disappoint. Steve is very friendly and professional and did a great job. He cleaned the work area after he was done and walked me through the house to show me exactly where all the wires and cables ran and plugged in. Steve even took the time to answer a few of my questions on other electrical items in my home. I will definitely call Steve again for future electrical needs.

We met Steve when he came over to relocate a few outlets for us around Christmas as we started a kitchen remodel. He made several recommendations using his experiences and knowledge of the electrical code. He spent several hours with us explaining options that we may consider as we proceed into our kitchen remodel. We were very impressed with Steve's ability to help us design our project, bring his experiences into the conversations. As he progressed in the kitchen he proved his technical abilities. He also proved to be a man of his word, a good communicator and most of all, my wife is comfortable having him around him. So with this, we asked Steve to add recessed lighting in three rooms on our main level. Again he provided excellent service. When it can time for our upstairs bathrooms and master bedroom remodels in March, we asked our general contractor to hire Steve for the project. Even though he had his own crew, he had met Steve during the kitchen and readily agreed. Steve is trustworthy and competent. I would hire him again without hesitation and highly recommend him.

When I first called about a burned out electrical outlet under my kitchen sink, he tried to help me assess the situation over the phone before coming out. He told me up front that he charged a $150 minimum for house calls and so we wanted to be sure it was not something I could just repair myself. I appreciated this. We ultimately determined that I'd need to have a professional come over to replace the outlet since it was burned out and had damaged the cord to my dishwasher. He arrived earlier than expected (called first to make sure that was okay), which was great. He replaced the outlet, telling me that it malfunctioned due to design, age, and the load of two appliances. He replaced the cord to my dishwasher, which had been burned and melted by the malfunctioning outlet. He checked several other outlets in my home to make sure they'd been upgraded so that the same thing would not occur elsewhere in my home. He also changed out a light switch in an upstairs bathroom. I was pleased with his work and felt comfortable allowing him to work in my home. He answered my many questions and offered useful suggestions. I may try to do some home repairs myself, but when it comes to electricity, I will leave that up to a professional and I would not hesitate to contact Bishop Electric again if there is another electrical issue in my home. I would recommend this electrician to my friends.

Mr. Bishop was professional, prompt and courteous. Called to set up an appointment based on an inquiry on Angies list right away. Provided an estimate and scheduled the work the next week. Did everything he said he would, and left his work area neat and clean. Price was fair, not cheap, work was very good. We have found our electrician.

Steve Bishop came out within a few hours of our initial phone call to assess the work we needed to have done. He had some great tips of where to install the outlets and was very courteous and professional. Because one outlet would be installed next to a smoke detector, Steve asked the age of our home and made the recommendation that in approx. two years we should install new smoke detectors due to the age of the home/detectors. He also recommended installing carbon monoxide detectors at the same time since current building codes now require these. Steve scheduled a time to do the outlet installation, and returned on that day. He was prompt, efficient, and courteous. We have already referred Steve to a neighbor and will certainly be contacting him in a couple of years when it is time to change out smoke/carbon-monoxide detectors!
