Tires Plus Total Car Care - Chanhassen

Kevin was our service technician for our repair which turned out to be a little more extensive than it originally appeared. The service performed was covered by our insurance after our deductible. I am compelled to report the absolute professionalism with how he handled an unusual circumstance. Our car had about 53,000 miles on it, but the tire only had about 12,000 miles on it with a road hazard guarantee from a Discount Tire location 7 miles away. Kevin at Tires Plus was able to perform the extra work needed to repair a bent control arm, wheel knuckle, and driveshaft. The wheel itself had a ~5and quot; by 2and quot; chunk broken, so a new wheel was ordered from Toyota. The dilemma was with the tire. In order for Tires Plus to complete the repair, they needed an undamaged tire. I took the tire with an obvious impact bubble on the damaged wheel hub to Discount Tire and they initially refused to replace it. I had previously spoken to Discount Tire on the phone about a replacement tire and they had marked one and put it aside for me. Kevin at Tires Plus was in disbelief as I was and called on my behalf to inquire about why they were refusing an obvious road hazard agreement. Not only did Kevin call Discount Tire in front of me to question their road hazard agreement, he also offered to drive to my house the next morning and bring me and the tire in question to Discount Tire since my car was inoperable. I was floored by his offer to do this, and the only reason we didn't do it was because my 4 very young children wouldn't fit in his car! I did get the tire replaced by the road hazard guarantee at Discount Tire later the next day without difficulty by a manager. All of this occurred a few days prior to Thanksgiving and the car was finally repaired and ready to go at 9pm on wednesday prior to the big gathering at our house! Kevin and a few other mechanics were working hard after normal closing hours the night before Thanksgiving to get us on the road, and I'm impressed and thankful for their diligence!

Tires Plus Car Care has checked tire pressure for free of course. They are easily assessable. I bought tires there at a good price. Have had car repairs, and new batteries put in. A range of things over the last 10 years. They are good about getting us in, after all we are not the only ones there. They do not try to cheat you and they do not try to tell you need some thing when you do not. I have had that problem with other outfits in the past and they do not do that. I will continue to use them in the future and recommend them to others.

Guy was rude and overcharged me

No phone call when complete, resulting in car being stuck there over a holiday. Tires mounted on the rear, request was for new front tires. Un-necessary dismount and remount of the best front tire for use as a spare. No reminder sticker for the next oil change.

THE COMPANY EXPLAINED EVERYTHING CONNECTED WITH THE TIRES AND WHAT I COULD OR COULD NOT HAVE. I WAS NEVER PRESSURED TO PURCHASE ANY EXTRA SERVICE. THEY WERE ABLE TO INSTALL THE FOUR TIRES ON THE SAME DAY. THIS SERVICE WAS DONE IN A PLEASANT AND TIMELY MANNER. THEY WERE EXTREMELY COURTEOUS AND PLEASANT.
