Randel Saunders

Randel Saunders came highly recommended by close friends. Unfortunately the end results were awful. I could have done better myself by following the steps on the Lowes website. Randel started tiling on one side of the room, using whole tiles where the bulk of the furniture will sit. By the time he got to the other side, where most of the edge would be exposed, he was cutting thin slivers of tile to fill in the gap. He also set several tiles very poorly to the point where they obviously needed to be reset, but then blamed members of my household for moving the tiles. I was also disappointed with the grout lines. I wanted spacers to be used, but Randel assured me he could lay the tile without spacers and still have clean looking grout lines. The grout lines were all over the place, with gaps varying from very thin to really wide. I fired Randel before the job was complete and immediately started tearing up the tile that had been laid the day before. Everything is a real mess now, and I'm at risk of damaging the expensive floor heating elements while doing the rework. At this point, we are considering just tearing out ALL the work, heating mats and all, right down to the slab, and starting over. I am beside myself at this moment, distraught beyond belief, wondering what to do next. I have a video of the work done, email me and I'll send it to you.
