The service for this review went fine. Unlike some dealers, Brown's only recommended doing what the manufacturer recommends at this maintenance service interval.
Over the past 10 years my wife and I have had 5 different vehicles serviced at Brown's. Generally we have been very pleased with the quality of the service and value.
- Usually easy to get an appointment quickly.
- The owner, Ron Brown is frequently available for any questions I might have. He is happy to take the time needed to answer all my questions.
-Staff is courteous and cheerful.
-Quality of the work is excellent.
-Seems to be a better value than a Dealership. In part because of not using 'genuine (Toyota/Ford/whatever) parts.'
-Car is usually ready when promised.
Personally, I prefer the 'feel' of a small shop over a dealership which generally feels impersonal and corporate. At Brown's I am treated like a person and neighbor in a small town.

Brown's Tire and Auto are prompt, honest and tell you what they are going to do what they are going to do before they do it. It is a locally owned place and they have a trendy car wash right next door and they have a nice lobby.

Terrible. As soon as she got home the check engine light came back on and the rpm's dropped. She took it back to Brown's so they could check it, Jeremiah, the mechanic said the 02 sensor was still coming up on the diagnostic as the problem, however, they put in a brand new one and she would now have to take her car to a Volkswagen dealership to have it fixed. This is unacceptable to me, either they never replaced the 02 sensor or the part was bad. It's pretty obvious when the diagnostics show the exact same problem both times.
