After receiving an estimate on November 2, 2012 from the owner of the company (Jesse Burgess) for installation of seamless gutters and installation of holiday lights, we agreed to terms, signed a contract, and he was to complete the work. I paid 50% down for him to start the work.
After numerous excuses of when he could start, he finally came out to do the work. It was very obvious he was overbooking himself with other things because he kept coming out to start the work at odd evening hours. After 3 separate times of coming out, he finally said he was close to being finished. I paid him the remaining 50% of the bill contigent on him finishing up that evening. When we returned home from being out, the work was not finished. I spent the next two weeks contacting him over the phone getting different excuses on why he hasn't finished yet. My last contact with him was on December 12, 2012. Since December 12, I have not heard back from Jesse nor has he returned my numerous voicemails, texts, certified letters, or emails.
I have filed with the Hennepin County conciliation court to sue him to recover my funds. Since filing a suit against Jesse, I have searched the Hennepin County court system and see he has a number of judgements against him already. I wish I would have done a little more background checking on this guy.
