BUDGET RENT A CAR

Description of Work: We rented a 16' moving truck for a 24-hour period, driving 40 miles round-trip. They charge a flat-fee for the truck plus $0.59 per mile, and you are required to fill the tank when you return the truck. The attendant emphasized 3 times how important it is to 'top off' the tank because they will charge a $25 re-fueling fee even if it's less than a gallon short. We filled as instructed, and paid over $30 in gas for the 40 miles we drove. They quote 8-12 MPG, but the amount of gas we had to put in worked out to 4 MPG. We inquired about the discrepancy, and they initially said there was nothing they could do, because the contract said it was 'full.' Turns out ACTUAL full is showing the needle far beyond the 'F' but the attendant assumed the needle being just before the 'F' meant full, so marked it as such on our contract. We contacted the owner of the location, and after much discussion about the situation, he agreed to refunded the excess gas money spent to fill the partialy empty tank.
