Took a long time to get the initial work done - lots of excuses. We were sold defective siding. We've spent the last THREE YEARS trying to get him to replace the siding. After much prodding and estimated the amount of replacement siding but estimated too little. He no-showed the installation so we had to hire another firm to install. Because he ordered the wrong amount, and no-showed the job, we are still left with 50% defective siding on our house! We have old and new mixed - even on the front!!! We have been after him for more than three years! Lots of excuses. Lots of empty promises. Bottom line - nothing has been done. Our time is valuable. He seems nice enough but you can't trust him and he won't get the job done. We're left with a mess that no one will touch because it's his mess! I hate to take to online reviews - but not sure what else to do! This job needs to be finished! We spent over $40,000 with Hilden!!!!

The project was done on a rather cold day, but Tom and his crew installed temporary moving blankets over the window rough openings to keep the heat in the house. The windows were removed and re-installed one at a time and the interior finish work was completed when all the new windows were installed. One of the windows was ordered a little too large so the rough opening had to be increased by about a 1/2", this wasn't a big deal. THC used an industrial foam insulation around the windows to make sure they were tightly sealed. One small plastic molding piece was cracked and is on order from Traco, the window mfg. The interior finish work was done very nicely and the crew did a very nice job cleaning up the outside to remove all the installation materials. The guys even sifted thru the snow to try to get all the siding nails picked up. Overall a very good experience.
