Did not return phone calls or emails and did not finish work. The finish on the cabinet in the kitchen was very minimal and they were not finished properly. Him having a guard dog should have been an red flag when meeting him.

The beginning of the process was wonderful.  He's a great cabinet designer and worked with us to make sure the design was perfect for what we wanted.  Almost 2 yrs later, I'm still happy with the design and feel like we have the best possible kitchen layout.  He encouraged us to get natural wood and I wish we had done so, but we chose white paint sprayed on at their cabinet shop. 
The big problem came when the white painted cabinets were installed- the paint started chipping and flaking almost immediately.  It took weeks of leaving messages for him to finally send over a guy with a pint of paint for touch up work.  When the guy saw the problem, he realized it wasn't just a touch up issue.  He took all the lower cabinet doors that were in the worst shape back to the shop, sanded them and repainted them.  The whole process took a few months to finally get them all back on.  We still have other areas like the trim at the floor and ceiling that are peeling as well but we just live with it.  Overall it looks great and visitors don't really notice at first glance unless we point it out.  Still it's frustrating to spend so much on cabinets and have a problem like this.
