WASTE MANAGEMENT

We have had Waste Management for probably 20 years, but we have had some really unfortunate experiences the last month. We had a blizzard and our road was blown shut in February. The garbage collector drove down and didn't take the garbage because he couldn't take it down because the plow hadn't come through yet. I called their 800 number right away and said, can you come back now that the plow has come through and the customer service lady said yes, we can come back or if he doesn't, you can have extras next week. He did not come back, so we put the extras in bags around the cans next week. The next week, he emptied the cans, but left the extras. I called again and explained the situation again on the 800 number, but then the following week when he did take it, he threw our can so that the cover broke. We called to complain about that. Then we got the bill and they were billing us $18 more for the extras. I wrote them a letter to their billing department and told them we were terminating their services and I was not going to pay that $18 because I pay for my garbage pickup and he didn't pick it up that one week so I should've been able to have it picked up the next week, but it didn't get picked up the next week, it got picked up the following week and he also damaged the can.
