Anchor Full Service Travel

My wife and I are planning to travel to Romania and stop over in Germany for a few days this December. I started tracking different flights and I came across a deal that made the flight very inexpensive. Unfortunately, I couldn't book it online and I tried calling Delta and KLM and they quoted me a price that was double the cost traveling. I decided to Tawny a shot and see if she could work something out. Her responsiveness to a unique situation left me very impressed. She went to work and tried for a couple of days but was unsuccessful as well. My trip is a multi destination where my wife and I have friends and family, and I was not extending what I was hoping for beyond a flight deal. The whole experience with how unique my situation and her willingness to give it a shot left me with a positive experience where I will be looking towards her in the future when my wife and I want to travel to somewhere warmer and comfortable.

It is going really well. She has been helpful and has tried her best to get us the best price for our flights and tours. She had a lot of constraints to work with but was able to put a wonderful trip together for us.

I contacted Anchor Travel based on positive Angie's List reviews. I have had a number of contacts with the owner, Tawnya Hoffman. She listened to my preferences and booked all the necessary travel and accommodations for our summer trip to England this year. Tawnya works from a small town community, but she definitely knew a great deal about travel in England and gave me a lot of good advice about getting what I needed for the trip. She thought of a lot of things I had not considered, and got us a reasonable deal on travel insurance, always a good idea for a long trip at a distant date. We originally contacted Tawnya because she was listed as an authorized agent for some tours we found in Scotland. After discussing options, she was able to find many tours that were not available on the internet. She also had a lot of personal experience with the area and was very helpful with the trip planning. In addition, she found some good package flights and hotels. When we met before the trip, she provided a folder with all our itineraries, complete with personalized maps to the hotels.

I haven't used travel agencies much before, but her expertise was very helpful. Being an overseas trip, she saved us a lot of time and money making arrangements.

Tawnya works north of the Twin Cities, but we made most of the arrangements over the phone and via email, and before the trip she met us in the north suburbs. So location was not an issue at all.
