Accent Ornamental Iron & Powder Coating

I wanted something a little bit different than the ubiquitous twisted post and grape leaf that I saw on other sites--I wanted railings that were sturdy and looked good with my 1930's Tudor style house. I chose a Craftsman style with squares that mimic the shapes on the stones on the front entry, and had the railings powder-coated in a rusty brown that blends well with the brown and red trim on my house. Accent Iron designs a lot of their fencing, and they offer creative and unique designs. Every time I go out the front door, I feel happy that I selected their company to do the job--I love my railings!

We live in a walk up rambler, and the railing up the steps was so wobbly we weren't sure it would last through another winter. The great thing about Angie's List is we could look for a good provider of outside railings. Accent Ornamental did a fantastic job matching the railing design to what we originally had. I cannot comment on the appropriateness of the price as we got one bid only.

Accent was always very responsive throughout process. Completed work was exactly as specified and look fantastic.

Best experience I've ever had with a construction company. Every step of the way was efficient and professional from the bid to the installation. They said what they did and did what they said they would. Their staff are helpful, friendly and accommodating. I called for a bid mostly out of curiosity but when the price was about the same as wood railings I decided to go the classier route.
The railings look fantastic!!! I was worried  that the new concrete may crack during the drilling but the installer had no problems at all. I would definitely use Accent again and I highly recommend them.

The entire experience was excellent.  There was no pressure but plenty of helpful information, especially in working with the sample pieces that illustrate the type of finishes available.  I did everything from my desk - no travel required on my part - so very convenient.

They came a week after the call and installed the handrail and they did an excellent job. I had a neighbor over and she leaned on the rail before cement was hard. I called the company and they came came and added more cement at no cost. They were very good and I would use them again

My furniture is 20+ years old, black wrought iron, in really good shape but  was looking to refresh it and put on a new color.  
Kelly overnight mailed several sample colors, a decision made and they picked up furniture on a Monday.
The process would be sandblast and then powder coat.  The furniture was just delivered (only 10 days later) and it is absolutely beautiful!  
Kelly was fantastic to work and  Sam, the pick up/delivery guy, was a gem!
The entire process was smooth & easy and the end result BEAUTIFUL!
I'll be calling them in the future to fabricate our wrought iron deck rail.

They discussed options and were informative.  They completed the job in a timely manner.

I received bids from four of the top rated metal companies to replace an old railing on concrete stairway that had rusted out.  We had a number of projects being completed at the house to meet city requirements for renting it out.  Accent had the second highest quote we received of the four, yet they gave a timeframe for completion of four weeks for the custom design we provided, which was the shortest of the bid companies.
They came out to install the railing somewhere around the 4-5 week point, but they had errors on the original measurements so the railing didn't fit the steps.  This resulted in them taking the railing back, correcting the problem, then waiting for the powder coating to get done again.  The process ended up taking around 7-8 weeks total.  
Other than the punctuality aspect, they did an outstanding job with the railing!  It looks just like the design we sent them, and the quality is excellent.  It looks great!  Given the end result, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.  They were easy to work with and produce a quality product.

they visited promptly after my call, salesperson was courteous and professional, had a nice range of options (colors, designs) and fair pricing.  Delivery was approximately 4 weeks after order, exactly as predicted.  Installed on a cold day in December (I was worried that my job would have to wait until Spring)  The railing itself looks quite nice, and is very sturdy/secure.  Only two small drawbacks -- the cement-like material that they used to secure the posts into sidewalk has done some superficial flaking, looks a little messy but is structurally okay, at least so far, and also a dark grey color that does not match our sidewalk.  Also, we provided a 50% deposit upon order, and then one day about a month later, the railing was present when we got home from work, and the remaining balance was deducted from our account.  I found it odd that we didn't have any other contact, no call, etc., but it did work out fine in the end.

I called Accent Ornamental Iron to see if they could repair the rusted wrought iron hand and security rails from our front porch and steps or if we needed to purchase new.  They said buying new was not needed since they could make the repair by cutting the rails off at the cement base they were poured into when the house was built in 1959.  They then sandblasted, repainted and remounted to the cement with a screw base. The salesman who bidded the job was great. In fact, one of our cement steps was chipped and he offered to repair it on the side for us.  The end product is beautiful.  It took approx 6 weeks from start to completion which we understood from the start.  The downside was that our porch and stairs became a liability during the 6 week period without safety rails but this was unavoidable in order to make the repair.  The product is advertised to be rust free and we were advised if any rust appears, to call and we will be taken care of.  I recommend Accent Ornamental Iron and would not hesitate to call on them again for any future projects. 

Mike made improvement suggestions that reduced the cost while maintaining aesthetics. Since it was a small job, he did the work on my word and I paid for the items when I picked them up. They were well made - good welds, square and true, and excellent powder coating. The work was done on time and I was completely satisfied.

Two years ago, Accent created a beautiful curved railing for our new raised patio.  We love it.  This past spring, we noticed some discoloration in a few places.  Worried, we phoned Leo, who had been our contact during purchase and installation.  He replied that he no longer worked for the company, but would come take a look.  Within in a day, Leo came by, inspected, and surmised that the "powder coat" had failed.  He took it upon himself to contact the owner of the company, who within a week, also inspected and confirmed Leo's diagnosis.  Asking if we had a time crunch, (no) he said the next time his workers had a truck in the neighborhood, they would remove the entire railing and bring it up to the shop.  That happened promptly, and, one day, not long after, we returned home to find our railing, reinstalled, looking great with a new powder coat.  Mind you, this was way past the warranty date.  Total charges to us : $0.00!!   I can't think of a company that offers such a high quality product and backs it up with better service.

We accepted their bid with an understanding that the railings would be ready and installed in around 3-6 weeks, although they indicated that it would likely be on the early end of that because of the simple job. In fact, it was only a week before the rails arrived and were installed. They look great. We are very happy with the work.

Accent (more specifically Leo) was recommended to me by both my landscaper and concrete contractor, so I knew it was a good company. Leo was easy to get in touch with, came out quickly and knew exactly what I wanted (we had some wrought iron on the house and we wanted the railings to complement them). He provided the estimate on the spot and it was very reasonable. I sent in the deposit and they actually did the install much sooner than I was expecting--only snag is that they didn't tell me they were coming that day, but I was home, so it was ok. The installer was careful and professional. Leo then came back to touch up the mortar around the posts to make sure moisture doesn't seep in. I have been receiving lots of compliments from neighbors and passerbys. I would definitely recommend them and use them again.
