Andy, the owner of Allen Construction, was very personable, timely, and professional during the process of providing an estimate for replacing our roof.  We did experience a significant delay from the time the estimate was provided to the start date of the work, but Andy explained the delay was due to unforeseen events (i.e. health concerns, death of family members) experienced by members of the construction team.  Because the project was being completed more for aesthetic reasons than due to leaks, etc. and because Allen Construction came so highly recommended, we waited patiently for the job to be started.  We are so glad we did!  The crew members who worked on our house were highly competent and extremely professional.  They worked efficiently, were respectful of our property, and did a marvelous job ensuring all materials were picked up and the lawn decor they moved was placed back in the original location.  Also, the cost of the project was much lower than other "bigger" named roofing companies in the area, yet we did not need to sacrifice quality for the lower price.

Allen Construction did such a fantastic job that we now have a list of additional projects we plan to ask them to complete!

He was superb...the job was done efficiently and thoroughly professionally.  This is a high quality operation and I would not hesitate to recommend Andy to anyone, anytime.  It was a pleasure workin with him.

We contacted Andy Allen in the summer of 2014.  We contacted a number of roofers for bids, ranging from $7000 to $20000.  Andy had the most competitive bid and he came across very friendly and explained things very well.  A Allen Construction had a good reputation on this site and the BBB site.  We incurred some time and material costs which we know going in that would be the case.  We would very much use A Allen Construction again for any other construction projects in the future. His crew were very polite and responsive to our concerns.  GREAT OUTFIT!!!!!

Work took only 2 days from start to finish. No problems with work performed and cleanup was very good.

The crew was polite, very efficient, and very clean. They were able to turn around a full roofing job within 24 hours and took the time to rake/sweep up any left over debris, run the lawn with a roller magnet to pick up any loose nails. Bottom line, they showed up when they said they would, worked hard, worked well, and they did a fantastic job.

The work performed was absolutely phenomenal. The whole roof job for our 1100 ft home was done in about 7 hours! It was done very well, with great consideration for the eaves troughs etc... I inspected the roof after they left and found no flaws, no shortcuts, and no collateral damage. In short, the work was perfect. In addition, his pricing was 20-50% lower than the other bids for the same job. The downside to using Allen Construction is that Andy is hard to get in touch with. I played lots of phone tag with him and he wasn't very good at promptly returning calls. However, if your schedule allows you to be a little flexible, it is worth the hassle to get Andy to the job! He does general contracting as well as roofing.
