Two Men And A Truck

I’ve used a couple different moving services in the Twin Cities over the last 10 years and sadly my only negative experience was with Two Men and a Truck from Burnsville. Did my items get from point A to point B, yes. Was my experience wonderful? No. If you’re looking for which company has provided me A+ moving service, you can read through my previous reviews. I was moving from my house that I sold and into an apartment while my future home was being remodeled. My closing on the house was in less than 24 hours. I was surprised that Two Men and Truck did not use runners to protect the floors. They did not wrap items to protect the walls or items. They even smashed my sheetrock on the basement ceiling when moving a couch out and banged up and left marks on several door frames, they didn’t apologize for any of it in the moment. I had no choice but head to a home repair store that night to purchase items to fix up the sheetrock and repaint the ceiling and door frames that night and return early in the morning for another coat of paint before the final walkthrough and closing. I called Two Men and Truck and they offered to come make repairs later in the week, which obviously was too late. They did return some financial compensation, which I appreciated. Overall, the stress wasn’t worth it.

The movers were very professional and efficient. They treated the furniture with respect and worked very hard to place the furniture in the desired area. The only thing that I didn't like is when they asked for a tip.

Movers were good, one got hurt in the process and 911 was called, took 3 hours to get another mover and then the new mover didn't know which bed frames went with which beds, screws were missing and the ones they had they didn't know which dressers they belonged to and delayed the moving process significantly. The walls in my new house were bumped and damaged to the degree that when service person from the company came out, he made a call to his manager and said that this was not their normal job and excessive damage had occurred. I have initiated all of the followup phone calls. To check if the mover was okay, to talk to them about decreasing my bill amount as they charged me for the whole time rather than decreasing the bill for the down time, contacting about the damage to my treadmill that occurred during the move, damage to my walls and now it has been over a month and still no repainting of said damage, or anyone to determine the damage assessment. I am not getting any call backs to follow up with this, I am frustrated and want desperately to put this behind me.

They came into the house, looked around my house and told me I was a hoarder and left. This is the furthest thing from the truth. I had all my stuff in boxes ready for them to move me. I had boxes everywhere as I was moving. I cant believe how rude and despicable this company is.

This crew did not hustle like other crews I have hired in the past.  They broke some items, and damaged some drywall.  1 guy in the crew often did not care about bumping walls with furniture and nicking the drywall.  1 guy stopped up a toilet in the new house, and while was apologetic and embarrassed, did not clean up the mess.  At the end of the move, I was presented with the total and a spot for tip, which was pointed out that I would have to fill that out, even with a $0 amount.  I felt that this was a poor business practice that was pressuring people into leaving tips, even for poor service.  The move 1 mile down the road should never have taken 18.5 man hours for an efficient crew.  These guys didn't seem to sweat and there was always a guy in the truck hanging out waiting for the other two to bring something to the truck.   Ultimately because of this I ended up getting charged more than a crew that hustled and was more efficient.
Two weeks later, when I needed to move everything at the new house from the garage throughout the house, I called Help-U-Pack -N-Move.  The movers from Help-U-Pack-N-Move were great, and what I would have expected from movers.  You can read my review of that move under that company.

EXCELLENT!  We'd never used movers before but now we'd tell anyone to not only use movers but to use these guys.  They showed up on time after calling to confirm the day before.  I hired 3 movers, & they worked together efficiently.  We were not fully packed when they arrived, & they worked with us even while we were packing boxes at the last minute.  They put the boxes in the correct rooms, checking with me when they weren't sure.  They tried to put a large, heavy bookcase in our basement in a tight and twisting stairwell, & when that didn't work they tried putting it through the egress at my suggestion, & ended up putting it on the main level.  No complaints despite having to carry this thing all over.  They were easy to talk to and work with, professional & down to earth.  Absolutely would recommend them. 

They were great.  Friendly yet professional, hard workers, got the job done as quickly as possible.  Included moving a washer and dryer (although they couldn't install them, but I didn't expect them to) which were very large & heavy.

It was a horrible experience. This was my fourth move in a year and a half. They were very disorganized, multiple things were lost. They gouged the wall in the house that I was moving out of. They did fix that. When I contacted them about the lost items, they didn't do anything about it. The shelves for my TV stand are missing, headboard brackets, and they took a long time. The other moving company only took three hours and they took forever because they were so unorganized. It took them all day and I had to pay for that. I would never, ever hire them again. They were two hours late getting there.

On time. On price. Good service. Very nice movers.
