Tim Stegall Carpet

Tim sold and installed new carpeting thoughout our home. He was prompt, professional, knowledgeable, and particular about his work. We are completely satisfied with the results. It was a good experience working with Tim from beginning to end

I went to Tim after being disgusted by the treatment I received at Home Depot. He was very helpful with the carpet selection (I love it). He offered a better price that any big-box store. I was concerned about moving all the furniture to clear the area for install. TIm was very helpful with suggestions about the installation to minimize the stress of moving full rooms of furniture. This was very different from new construction, where nothing is in the way! I didn't even have to move all the clothing out of the closets! Just the lower racks. It took two days for the install and had to be scheduled to allow me time to move furniture, so it took a couple of weeks to complete. TIm was very accommodating to my schedule. He was prompt with all our appointments, from estimate to install. I would recommend Tim to others, and would use Tim Stegall Carpet again.

It went very well - there was one small area that needed to be re-stretched but Tim came out himself to do this for us.

We have had carpet installed 3 times by Tim, the last time in 2005. I wouldn't hesitate to call him again, and I recommend him to anyone I know of that needs carpet.

It went great. Dealing with Tim is a real pleasure and I would HIGHLY recommend him. He answered all questions we had, offered opinions, and was easy to work and schedule with. He runs a small shop, and while it may not be as eye-catching as some big box retailers, there is a lot of very high quality carpet and flooring inside. He gives personalized service and is very willing to work with you to meet your needs. We will eventually be having more carpet installed in our home and are confident we will use Tim again. We like to use smaller retailers to provide good local competition with the mega-chains, and Tim is clearly a motivated independent businessman that stakes his reputation on personalized service and great prices.

When we first entered the store we explained the basic parameters of what we were looking for in a carpet, and he showed us several good options, and looked up pricing and data on several of the samples. After we selected one, we left to go think about it, and when we came back conferred with Tim on color and the specifics of the carpet selected. Tim told us all about it and we bought it with a 50% deposit, and paid the balance when he finished the installation. The manufacturer promptly processed the order but the shipper they used misplaced the shipment; Tim insisted that they send a new piece rather than continue to search for the original, which they did. We made an appointment for 7:00 AM on a weekday and Tim showed up right on time, and completed the job in about 4 hours working by himself. I was delighted, as this was under the time estimated, and it looked perfect when he was done. He could have installed it in a different orientation which would have necessitated more seams, but did it the better way to minimize seaming problems.

In short, Tim underpromised and overdelivered, which explains why I will go see him for my future flooring needs.
