Push Pedal Pull

July 2020 If I could leave negative stars - I would! This is specifically in regards to the sales guy by the name of Barrett Hodgdon. Long story short - I went there yesterday to look at equipment and met with Barrett. He showed me some equipment and I told him my budget and that I had to think about it. He called me today and left me a voicemail to let me know that "he is friends with the owner" and said he could sell me a piece of equipment for cheaper than he offered me yesterday because they had a good sales weekend and because of his close relationship with the owner. I texted him back saying it was still out of my budget and made a counter offer. He replied, "I understand. You have to do what is best for your situation". I didn't reply. A minute or two later he texted me again: "I have had more and more people stop by our store in recent weeks to try our products and ask for our advice on what to look for, and then go find it used on Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace. Not very respectful, professional or courteous" I am an informed consumer. I do extensive research when I am buying things, especially equipment that is $5k+ or more. I found a better deal on a used elliptical at another fitness store. We all have budgets and this used elliptical was more within my budget. I made a counter offer on what he was selling and was nothing but professional and courteous and thanked him for his time. Then he attacks me for not buying the equipment that was outside of my budget. Absolutely unacceptable! I called him on this and he replied via text, "I apologize. i wasn't referring to you. I had a bunch of other people in here yesterday and a ton today that came in asking me for advice on a piece of equipment that they were looking at on Facebook. I was just frustrated because it takes me away from helping customers like you who are genuinely in the market". I own my own business. If I treated my potential customers with an attitude like this when they decided not to hire me and go with a different company I would be long out of business! Absolutely atrocious customer service on behalf of Barrett Hodgdon. I will avoid PPP like the plague and let everyone I know to avoid this place!

In February 2013, I purchased a a recumbent elliptical exercise machine from Push, Pedal & Pull in Burnsville. I used their 1 year same as cash financing deal and got a nice price on the elliptical as well. By the time April rolled around, I had yet to receive a bill from Wells Fargo, the bank that handles the financing program for Push, Pedal & Pull, even though I received their credit card. I do watch my credit pretty closely, so I was getting concerned that I had not yet been billed. So I contacted the corporate offices for assistance. They got me the name of the store manager. I e-mailed him with my question about when my billing would begin. I believe I also left a voice mail for him as well. It took over a week for the store manager to get back to me, but he finally did. Within a week or so, the billing began, so I could begin paying off my purchase. At the time I was in the store, the sales person was having trouble submitting the credit request; I don't recall now if their system was down, or exactly what the issue was, but everything has been taken care of. The sales experience was great, they delivered my elliptical and set it up exactly where I wanted it, and they eventually resolved the billing issue. So all is well.
