They gave us an estimate, after bring in a sketch of our counter tops. We payed them half up front, and half when they finished. The price was very good, and we compared the price with other companies in the area (6 or 7). They did great work. After they left though, some of the caulking needed some repair. They came back out really quick after I called, and fixed the minor issue. They cleaned up well, and did not leave any messes. We were very pleased with them. This was my first time using this company, and I would highly recommend them. They gave me a free stainless steel sink as well.

What should have taken less than a day stretched into two weeks. There were mismeasurements, mis-cuts and miscommunication. Although, when it was all said and done, the countertops look fabulous. The installer was careful to make sure patterns lined up, seams were all but invisible, and on-site cuts were accurate. If you can look past the chaos of the process and focus on the long term results you'll probably be happy using this company.

Our initial selection process at the storefront in Minnetonka went fine. The salesperson addressed our questions and helped us make a selection, we put down a deposit, and we left with a good feeling. We got a call that same day from a person to schedule measurement and install. So far so good. At that time, we had only selected items for the kitchen. We had to coordinate a trip to Burnsville to select our stone. It was out of the way for us and difficult to coordinate as we live quite a ways from Burnsville, but we made it work. When we arrived, we met with Don and discussed bathroom possibilities with him, as well as the kitchen project we had already put money down on. As long as we made the trip, we elected to pick out Bathroom granite as well. He brought us back to the warehouse and that's where the fun began. I had been 'warned' by a friend who had previously visited this location (and went with a different company) that the granite selection process would be a challenge. He wasn't kidding. The warehouse was poorly lit, and the granite slabs were all stacked up like records in a record store, where you 'flip' them forward and back to see them. Don was able to navigate the maze and showed us several pieces ... or tried to. The reality was that the lighting was so terrible that we really couldn't see well. A flashlight was used to try to better illuminate the slabs but it really didn't help much, other than distort the light. It was also very disconcerting to not be able to see the whole slab. We made the decision for the kitchen granite based on a fairly narrow section of the stone that we could see, but felt uneasy simply because we had no way of knowing if there were any big defects or color/pattern issues that we could not see. Then we started searching for granite for the bathrooms. Don was helpful and knew the stock, and really did a good job of leading us around. After we made more selections, we finished up some paperwork, put money down for the bathroom, and left .... feeling very scattered and uneasy. Having never bought granite before we didn't know if all warehouses from other providers were like this or if this was normal. Despite good customer service, the experience was very stressful and disorienting. Installation was scheduled to take place within a week, and we coordinated our schedules to make sure one of us would be home. We were told the installers would arrive between 1-3. They arrived about 3:15, which was irksome. Though very polite, there was a clear language barrier that made it challenging to communicate with them. I was not quite sure that they were understanding our remarks and comments. Of particular concern was the drilling of the sink holes. Location and size requirements for the holes were clearly articulated, but it was early in the process and they were not ready to drill. About 90 minutes later when the counters were mounted they asked about the drilling of the holes. Once again, we identified the location and the specific size we needed, and let them drill. About 30 minutes later, they let us know that the Backsplash was measured incorrectly (too tall, thank goodness) and they were going to have to have it re-cut and come back. We were irked but knew it was not the installers fault, and they skedaddled (leaving a baseball cap and a level behind). After they left, we were trying to figure out how in the world we were going to coordinate yet ANOTHER day for install in our schedule. We called and set up a time in two days, making it very clear that we would not be available after 3pm that day. Then we stepped back and started to look at the kitchen. It looked great BUT THEN we looked at the quality of the seams. Worse than I had expected. Shoddy. Little fingerprint-sized dots of glue residue were all over the counter near the seams, and it was clear they did not wipe down the counter ... it was dusty and grainy, not to mention the glue residue. We also noticed that the clock on the stove was blinking, so they must have had to do something over there ... which is when we noticed a GOUGE all the way down to unfinished wood on our hardwood floor. About 4 inches long and a centimeter wide and deep enough to show bare wood. Clearly they were careless when moving the stove and our floor is now damaged. So we have to stain and seal that gouge. Ok. We're angry. And then we noticed the drilled sink holes. The location was fine, but the size was not. The one we were worried about and explicitly communicated the size about was drilled too big. Thankfully, the fixture fits on top (barely) but we have to replace some of the underside washers which will otherwise push up right through the hole because it's too big. Fabulous. Looked at the underside of the counter and the caulking/adhesive and could see little gaps and holes all along the line. Not good workmanship at all. Made the decision right then and there that we would be cancelling the bathroom work and using a different company for the project. The price difference is just not worth this aggravating process and poor workmanship. The next day, we received a call confirming the backsplash installation with a window between 1-3. WHAT? We told them again we needed to leave at 3pm. The caller said they would note the file so the installers would know. The following day, the installation timeframe came and went. No phone call was made to us to tell us they were going to miss the window, but at 2:15 we realized there was no way that we could leave at 3. We had to scramble to change plans because they were late. Finally, at 3:50 the same installers showed up again. Backsplash was cut correctly this time and they got it in and left a few minutes before 5. Clearly, the note that we needed to leave at 3 was irrelevant. Called to arrange for final payment, cancelled the bathroom order, and expressed our displeasure with the overall process. Don, always polite, asked if there was anything he could do. Like what? Are you going to come fix our floor? Buy us a new kitchen fixture that fits? Camouflage the seams better? Scrub off the glue? Great! let's schedule that work ... so your guys can be late ... again. I simply said "no". Started off on the right foot but then went downhill from there. We won't use them again and will pay a little more with a different company in the hopes of having a better experience elsewhere for our bathroom project.

We shopped for several weeks for our counter tops. Explored all the different surfaces, and did an extensive analysis. We picked Natures Stone because the people we talked to seemed most knowledgeable and they gave us the best price.. Other places did not give us total costs or services provided up front. We live in a town home so it is not an option for us to have the trash haulers take away our old counter tops. When Nature's Stone gave us an estimate, it was very close to the final price. It included everything
They came and installed within 2 weeks of our order, and they were clean and efficient. . I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Priced 3 installers. They had the best price because they offer a free sink. Install scheduling and install went smooth. I would use again.

We used this company to replace our kitchen counter tops before we did the master bath. We are currently awaiting installation of a single sink bathroom counter top with a remnant, and our lower level kitchen /wet bar which is about 40 Sq. Ft. We have always been pleased with the quality of the material and workmanship.

Nature's Stone is the parent company for NST Discount Granite, our vendor in Hudson, WI, and the first contact of several we made.  From our first question in the local store, to the last question I asked two days ago, they have provided top notch service and response time.
Though ordered through Hduson, we visited their warehouse in Burnsville to select our slabs of granite.  We were amazed at the selection and we were given plenty of time to examine our options. When the slabs we first looked in our desired "color"  seemed to have too much brown in them, I was ready to select a more expensive materials to get just the right look.  But they searched out some more slabs in the desired color and we found a sufficient quantity for our needs in something we really, really liked.
Nature's Stone eliminates the "middle man" in some of their operations, which allows them to offer natural stone at a price far less than I expected, and nearly 40% lower than an estimate I had done about 8 years ago for a little less material!  Not only that, by the time our final order and bill was made up, the price was even lower (seriously, how often does that happen?).
They use contractors for measuring and installation, and in both instances, they called to confirm appointments and showed up on time.  They were knowledgable, respectful, and efficient.  A slight error was made in cutting our stone (one piece was left off the order), but the installers were back two days later with the final piece and installed it in minutes.
Although we contacted other vendors, Nature's Stone was our first choice.  From the time we first talked with our local vendor until installation was about 6 weeks and meshed with our needs perfectly.  We have some bathrooms to do next and will definitely look only to Nature's Stone to do the work.

I have used these guys a few times..Burnsville ,4 or 5 times, Ridgedale..The prices are very good, (on some granite)  sometimes though the measure is off, doesn't quite fit, maybe the wall has a slight bend or whatever..once there was a gap and they just filled it in, carelessly, very sloppy..Had to make them do it over..Another thing that bothers me..they fill gaps in the granite with some sort of poly substance..which is visible especially in certain lights..I have to say my client picked out her slab..but we did not see this crack/vein in the original piece, and if there is such a crack it should be cut so it is in a less visible area of the counter, which it was not..Management seems very rigid, (owners) once it is installed they have a very skeptical eye if you have an issue..ANother problem is that they NEVER send enough guys to carry and position the granite!  It has been an island piece, extremely heavy and 2 little guys show up with it..forcing me to help carry it.Overall, if you want cheap, which I usually do, (so I put up with it) use these guys, but be warned of primitive measuring practices, (no laser measure like some) sub standard, or 'doctored' granite, sometimes, not always, and very little recourse once its in, unless you are bitchy..and even then I haven't had complete satisfaction..I usually sell the homes and the mistakes are something I see, or other contractors see, but the fact of the matter is, that should not be an issue..The guys at the showroom, very friendly, helpful..

There were some problems during the install but the owner came out and resolved them the following day. Outstanding work and great value. We went with them because they were the only granite company locally that had ZERO BBB issues and have an A+ rating there.

We came to Nature’s Stone at the recommendation of our contractor. After checking out their wide selection of granite, we were still not willing to spend $40/sq ft for a small laundry room countertop. So I asked whether they would cut a remnant brought in from somewhere else, and they said they would with the understanding that they could not guarantee the integrity of someone else’s stone if it cracked, broke, or chipped. I thought that was fair and went on my way. I purchased a small remnant elsewhere and called NS and left a voicemail to schedule a time to drop off the piece. A day later I got a voicemail telling me they don’t cut outside stone. Naturally, that perplexed me. I called back and discussed the prior conversation, and was politely told they will call me back. They did, and said they will honor the arrangement and make an exception. A few weeks later I dropped off the remnant and the sink. NS did a great job cutting, mounting the sink, drilling faucet holes, etc. So I would say overall they made the right business decision, were professional in their handling of the matter, and did a great job with the product.

Unfortunately when the workmen were cutting out the hole for the drop in stove top the granite broke in two places. When this happened they did not tell me. They glued the ragged edges back together. When we noticed it we called to have the owner come to our home and look at it. On 3 March, 2009 she did come out with another man and told me she would have a repair person they use call us to make an appointment to have the ragged edges sanded and finished properly. One week passed and I didn't get a call so I called and spoke with Lingling, the owner. She told me she had asked the repair person to call and schdeule and would contact him again. It is now March 28 and I still have not heard from the owner or the repair man. Our dispointment started with the installers not telling us right away what had happened and then making a sloppy repair. The disapointment has continued with the owner not caring enough to follow through with having proper repairs made.

Everything associated with this company was positive. Their sales rep was very outgoing, friendly, and knowledgeable. When told we had a slab on hold, he immediately called, obtained pricing information, and produced an estimate within minutes. After, we provided the sink, they quickly fabricated the counter tops and desk and scheduled installation. By mutual agreement, installation was moved ahead by two days. Installation was a work of art done by professional installers. Drop clothes were placed throughout, Care and respect for our home was evident. The installers were courteous and friendly to the floor installers that were here at the same time. Most of all, the counter top installers were polite to us and took the time to explain the care and maintenance of the counter tops.
