First the good news. The quality of the work was fine. People showed up on time and cleaned up well. They did a good job of protecting floors and furniture. My complaint is with the pricing. The bid did not match what I perceived to be the final total. There was a $970 charge in the drywall portion that did not get added into the total. It showed $716.00 in both "Final Total" boxes and I missed $970.00 tucked in small print in a box in the middle of the page. I asked for a 2 part bid and no final total for each portion of tthe project was listed nor was there a total for the entire project with options.. I added up the numbers that appeared to be totals which was in the low $2,000 range which would have been a reasonable price based on what our insurance adjuster estimated. In summary, the quality of the work was fine, but I am of the opinion that there are painters out there who will do just as good a job at a more reasonable price.
