I chose Bob even though he was the most expensive estimate because he said he'd be able to complete the job by sand-jacking in lieu of mudjacking, which involves holes in the concrete. In the end, he said the concrete was thicker than usual and he ended up putting 7 holes in the concrete and mudjacking anyway. He was polite and felt bad that things didn't go as planned.
