I had some wind damage to my roof this past year and called my insurance company and Maus Construction. A friend of mine referred Maus Construction to me after they did his roof and siding last year, and he was happy with their work. Dan Maus came out and looked at the roof and found some damaged shingles. He met with the insurance inspector and discussed the damage and whether or not the shingle could be matched. After several back and forth exchanges with the insurance company, and Mr. Maus explaining my options and making recommendations based on my decisions, the insurance company agreed a roof replacement would be appropriate. I set up a date for the roof replacement. The Maus Construction crew chief showed up the day before to introduce himself to double check he had the right address and went over a few details on what to expect the next day. Later that day I received a call from the manager giving me a few more details asking me where I wanted the dumpster, where to park my cars, verified the shingle color, etc. and answered any questions or special instructions I had. The crew showed up early that morning and were done by 8pm. The manager stopped by throughout the day and asked if I had any questions or concerns and walked me through the progress. The roof looks great. I am very impressed with the quality and communication Maus Construction does. I really appreciated how they explained every step of the insurance process and told me my options and gave me suggestions based on the direction I wanted to go. They never pushed me to do one repair vs the other, but explained the pros and cons of each and let me choose. Then he assisted me in how to deal with my insurance company. I would highly recommend Maus Construction to anyone.

Dan, the owner, is very personable. He stopped by my home before the work. He stopped by frequently and kept me informed of the progress. Did a really really good job. One thing that really stood out, my wife was running out to run an errand and one of the roofing crew members came down and swept the driveway to make sure there were no nails or items to cause her any harm.

The were really good they got the roof done in one day. They did excellent job. They picked up every single piece of nail or anything was picked up. Very professional and impressed with everything. Everything was EXACTLY the way he said it would go very impressed. Well oiled machine

A storm came through our neighborhood and blew off a few shingles, it was enough that we contacted a few roofing contractors to get quotes. We spoke with 3 businesses and decided to use Maus Construction to replace our roof because they were very genuine and the offered a lifetime warranty. Their crew was professional and quick. We are very happy with our new roof and haven't had any issues since! -Note: Since this was paid by insurance I cannot weigh in on price.

Dan Maus was the consummate professional. He worked with us for a couple of months until everything was properly coordinated in our roof replacement claim with our insurance company.  When the day came for the work itself, Dan supervised the roof replacement and we could not be more pleased with the finished product!

My previous home was hit by a hail storm about nine years ago. Not knowing the process I
called my insurance company. They sent out an adjuster to review the damage and
returned a verdict that only half of my roof was to be covered/replaced.  I was a little disappointed so I called a
local exterior contractor, Dan Maus at Maus Construction Inc. that was referred
to me by a co-worker that highly recommended him.  Dan showed up on time, introduced himself and
explained how he works and what I could expect. After Dan had performed his inspection
he determined that the adjuster had missed a few things and suggested I call my
insurance and ask them to send out another adjuster to meet him to go over his
findings. Dan was able to show the adjuster what he had found and was able to
get the other half of the roof covered. 
Not knowing how the process worked, it was invaluable to have an
experienced professional to help me recover all the damaged I was due. Dan was
very thorough in explaining the types of shingles and warranties of the
manufactures. He stressed the value of quality workmanship and how spending a
little more time doing the work right the first time was better for me and him.
The job that his crew performed was flawless and the quality of work was great.
After moving
to a new home we had purchased from a builder about two years ago I had storm
chaser (door to door salesman) tell me that I had roof damage. I remembered the
great experience I had with Dan and decided to call him to take a look at the
roof. After about 20 minutes on the roof he came down and walked me through
what he found. He said he didn?t find anything to warrant a new roof and
determined that the roofing installers had improperly nailed the shingles in a
few places and was a relatively easy repair. He explained that I could do the
repair myself to save a few bucks or he could do it for a small price. I
appreciated his honesty and was once again pleased with the result.
 I highly recommend Dan Maus. He is an honest
professional with superior workmanship.
