Initial estimate and job scheduling within a couple of weeks. The crew showed up on time and completed the job in about 8 hour. They did a great job of cleaning up all of the debris.

The work was completed in a reasonable amount of time.  The workers were friendly, polite and VERY hard working.  The cleanup was great and the roof passed Chaska's pretty picky building inspectors.  We could not be more pleased with how we were treated and the value of service we received.  Its so refreshing to get this kind of customer service and quality of work.

It went very well, and we were impressed with the crew and owner.

Overall, a great finished product.  As with all contractors, it pays to watch what they are doing.  We paid extra for longer siding to reduce the amount of seams and add thickness for durability.  I came home from work and nearly two sides of my house were done with the wrong siding.  To their credit, they made it right without any hassle and the end product is perfect!

Things went really well. They are prompt so they are here when they said they're going to be here, and the guy who did the service was very professional.

He was very prompt calling me back with an estimate that was much lower than other companies I called. He also offered some helpful advice about the class action settlement associated with our shingles. Still undecided as to which company will do our repair but overall happy with my interactions thus far.
We ended up going with this company and were very pleased with the work done. They were prompt and cleaned up well after the work was completed. I needed them to remove a shingle to be saved which they did. Joe the owner has been very easy to work with, would use their company again in future.

Things went fine, there was a delay in getting them to come out due to rainy weather.  They showed up promptly on the agreed to time and were completely done putting the new roof on by dusk.  They came back two days later to finish their area clean up.  We were happy with their service.

Everyone from the crew to management were very respectful and courteous. Crew picked up all supplies and garbage with no mess left behind. The roof looks great and there were many colors and types of shingles to choose from.

It went amazing from start to finish!  THIS IS YOUR EXPERT RIGHT HERE!  Joe Merrill is an A1 Professional!  He sent a huge crew, and they had our roof torn off, replaced, and everything immaculately cleaned up BEFORE 5 hours lapsed!  (and this is not an easy roof, either)   All of our neighbors could not believe it!  He only used the best of the best materials, too.  This is a 50-year roof that we got, for the price of a regular roof; and it is absolutely beautiful!  It's so obvious Joe knows this business, and NOT one of those fly-by-night companies that drive around after a storm.  This is the guy to hire!!  Expert work, excellent price, quality materials, great/professional service!  When he says he'll be here, HE WILL BE HERE.  He even started the gutters the afternoon before.  We are totally impressed with this company, and we will recommend him to everyone we know!  On top of all of this, Joe Merrill is a fine, trustworthy person that you can depend on.  This is truly hard to find in this day and age!   Thank you so much!!

I learned about First Choice Builders from a friend who lives in a residential/townhome community that needed multiple roofs replaced.  I checked references on First Choice Builders by speaking with the Townhome Association President and two other home owners.  They all were thrilled with First Choice Builders work and recommended them highly.  They commented specifically on how the team was timely and efficient and how they were meticulous in their clean up each day.
There bid was in the middle of the three I received.  Their referenced were all excellent  and I was impressed with the quality of the roofing product they used.

The service was fine. They were quick and on time.

The service was excellent! From the initial employees that came out to give us the quote all the way to the workers, they were all great. They got the job done within one day. We’re very happy with the work they did.

I had three companies came out to give estimates, and we decided to use First Choice because Tom, who did the estimate, made a really good impression on us. He ended up talking to our insurance company more than we did, which was fine by me! First Choice did what they said they were going to do, when they said they would do it. The subcontractors that worked on the project were very professional and did good work. They responded promptly to phone calls and texts, and worked with our schedule. I would use them again. Highly recommended.

All in all there were some ups and downs. It wasn't a terribly smooth experience.

We were originally told that the work would be completed in 3 consecutive days within 2 weeks, and that we would have 48-hrs notice before work began. We were notified about 6pm on Sun night that work would begin at 7am the next morning ... not a deal-breaker but didn't leave us much notice.
Work began on Mon, 7/23/12. The roofing crew started on time, finished on time, worked hard and consistently, were very friendly & courteous, answered questions, addressed concerns, did a very good job & cleaned up everything. They were great!
We were then notified that the siding crew wouldn't be able to start until Fri, 7/27/12 (not a major problem but not what was promised for consecutive days of work). The crew showed up on time and, again, were very courteous and hard working. They stripped the old siding off in the morning then dropped everything at 12:30pm and said they would be back on Monday, 3 days later. The house was stripped, a dumpster was placed blocking the entire driveway and debris was strewn everywhere (drain spouts were thrown in the yard, old siding strewn around, front yard flowers were smashed, the cable box was open and hanging off the wall exposed to weather, and the front porch was covered with nails and old siding material). A call to the Field Supervisor, Keith Werness, got things more-or-less back on track and the crew returned later in the pm and finished the siding on Sat. There were numerous problems on post-inspection but they were promptly taken care of.
The gutter crew returned on Mon, 7/30 and were flawless. The dumpster was removed in the morning & we could again get access to our garage (I checked the dumpster and NONE of our material was in it since the roofing was removed separately and the siding was recyclable aluminum ... 3 days of a dumpster for no reason!).
We were not warned up front that our driveway would be blocked with a dumpster for 3 days (they even asked what side of the driveway to drop the siding so we could get at least 1 car in/out of the garage ... didn't matter in the end), nor that the hammering on the siding would knock items off the interior walls. They replaced the clock that was smashed but we're still finding plugs out of the wall, etc.
Overall, I felt that Keith was a true advocate on our behalf & got things fixed but that the Company was a typical "contractor" that did things on a whim, without regard for our concerns, nor delivering on what was promised. It felt like a fight and that I had to scrutinize everything because I had no faith that work was going to be completed as promised. In the end, I think we got what was promised, but I sure had to spend too much aggravation ensuring that it happened.

They were very good. They were prompt, professional, and efficient. I thought they did a very good job. I was impressed with how clean they were throughout the process. They made sure to clean up well. They completed the job in a day and a half. We had really windy days while they were working but they made sure to leave no trash behind and clean up everything. We felt they were the logical choice because they do a lot of work in our neighborhood and we were pleased with the previous work they did for us.

This company was extremely helpful. They came in and did an early analysis to show us the damage that occurred during a recent hail storm. After reviewing our needs First Choice worked directly with the adjuster to from start to finish. Once the claim was awarded off to work they went. Planning first to meet with the owners. Next the job was to be completed with in one week on 17-unit townhomes complex. There work was diligent, professional and they made good on all of their promises to keep a relatively distraction free, clean and safe environment. They over delivered on the service they provided. Excellent work by excellent people.

They did very good. The crew was very responsive and very courteous. They worked until the job was done.

THEY WERE VERY QUICK AT INSTALLING OUR SIDING - 10 DAYS FROM SIGNING TO COMPLETION. ALSO THEY WERE WILLING TO WORK WITHIN OUR INSURANCE CLAIM AMOUNT. COMPLETED MOST OF THE WORK BY END OF FIRST DAY. THEY DID LEAVE A MESS THE FIRST DAY, BUT BY THE END OF THE SECOND DAY MY PROPERTY WAS COMPLETELY CLEAN. I WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH THEIR COURTESY AND EFFICIENCY AND THE SIDING LOOKS GREAT!
