Make sure you supervise the technician doing the work in your home. They do not use floor coverings or shoe coverings - which by the way they say is standard practice. It is not - you have to ask. In addition, they will not clean up after themselves - they move things, leave things (dirt, grime, whatever they bring in with them) and leave a mess. The owner is very unprofessional and will not take accountability for any liability related to their work or harm they do to your home. He will waste your time. They do work through Centerpoint Energy, so make sure you request another plumber - they are not honest or trustworthy in their word.

"This customer called a month after her services were completed by our company and made a false claim that her floor was scratched by our company. The owner of the company and office manager with 2 other professional floor consultants went to review customer'[Member Information Removed] floor and it was found to be that DC ANNIS SEWER INC in no way shape or form could have scratched this customer'[Member Information Removed] floor. DC ANNIS SEWER and floor consultants measured the scratch that customer stated and all measurements were not even close to the technician'[Member Information Removed] equipment. DC ANNIS SEWER tried speaking with customer who yelled, screamed and be-little'd our company. Customer was unreasonable and would not take any fault that she has a dog and a large rabbit in her living room running around. Customer states she was so upset about her slate floor getting scratched, however when questions about other scratches on her floor already were brought to her attention, she again became upset. Customer had slate floor in her front entry which is expensive tile and customer did not even have any rugs or protective mats down to protect this tile. It is unfortunate that customers make false claims to try to get a new floor, while trying to slam a hardworking company who provided her good service."

This was arranged through our service plan with Center Point Energy, which is why we did not have to pay for the service. I received a call on the date of the service about 45 minutes before the tech arrived. He showed up as expected and started working immediately on the problem. The tech, Joey, did a great job. He used tarps to cover the furnace and other things near by the area he was working in. He kept me informed of what he was doing and the progress he made. He made sure the job was completed before cleaning up. He was polite and knew what he was doing. I would recommend this company based on my experience with them. Thank you.

DC Annis was great at the start. They started by giving me a call in the morning and provided me a quote for the service that I requested. The office was very thorough on prices and how their process goes on getting scheduled and for when the technician is arriving. The office staff is great and the technician Luke that came out was outstanding and I couldn't be more satisfied with this service. Definitely will be using again!

A month ago my main sewer line (60' to the street) was clogged and sewage was backing up in my basement. My usual sewer cleaner, being booked out several days, recommended D.C. Annis who had a decent rating on Angi. Matthew was able to come out the next day. The fine print in the work order I signed said "All workmanship on main lines will be warrantied for one year, unless stated otherwise." He spent just over an hour finding many roots after which the sewer drain was running smoothly. I was puzzled why he did not use a camera to visually verify that the job was done satisfactorily, but that would have been a substantial extra cost. Less than a month later it backed up again so I called. They said "No warranty on a multiplex dwelling" so another service call would have been chargeable at full price. I should have been told that up front. So I called another recommended contractor who actually charged 20% less. After telling my story he used a camera to look into the main sewer line (no extra charge). As I watched he pushed through two blockages and found several places with roots still hanging in the pipe. Obviously a freely running sewer line is not a sure sign of a satisfactory job. He used 6" cutting blades to clean out all the roots (a lot more) and then used the camera again to visually verify that the line was completely cleaned out all the way to the street. Use of a camera is essential to verify a quality job and should be included in the cost of cleaning out a main sewer line. It is false advertising otherwise. I file this review to warn others of their policies. Contrary to what D.C. Annis says on their website - they do NOT have a 100% satisfaction guarantee, they do NOT always guarantee their work, they do NOT alway give quality service, and NOT the best price. If they have confidence in the quality of their work, they should back it up with a warranty, no matter what.

After explaining the situation to the person on the phone, they sent a tech. They did mention there was a chance they couldn't fix it and there would be a service fee anyway, but it sounded like that was not very likely. After explaining and demonstrating same situation to the tech, he said they couldn't do anything about it because we are on a septic system. Paid service fee for no work. Called a different drain cleaning place and they fixed the problem without issue for only slightly more payment. Do not use if on a septic system unless you know for sure it is just one fixture having problems.

Technician could see the wet floor and yet couldn't find the blockage and recommended to schedule a camera crew. It looks like he didn't have the equipment. Few days later sewage backed up again in my basement making a big mess. Had to call another plumber to clear out.

When I called Sunday night, the person at the other end asked all of the right questions to narrow down our type of problem. The service person arrived on time with all of the right equipment, and was personable and professional. It took him about an hour to complete the job. Basic service was $200, but I had him check all the drains while he was there and that was an extra $75 (agreed upon in the phone call). Honestly, I wouldn't use anybody else. This is a company with a lot of experience, their people are well-trained, and they make sure their service people have the right equipment.

The drain cleaning went just fine. 3 days later, however, we found that the tech had unplugged our freezer and didn't plug it back in. We lost a bunch of irreplaceable wild game. Called company, and the receptionist was horrified that it happened, and I was told the owner was going to contact me to rectify the situation. The owner never contacted me.

On a Sunday, I was delighted to find a company that was available and charged the same as they would on a weekday. After calling to make the appointment, I was pleased to receive a couple of return calls from DC Annis providing the status of the job and the arrival time. I thought the quoted price for clearing my drain was very reasonable and was really pleased to have the job completed in a timely manner on a Sunday afternoon. The technician was great and professional and the company is a great one to call with drain problems.

I called DC Annis on a Sunday because the drain in my basement was backing up. They offered to come out on an emergency basis, but I opted for a routine appointment on the following day. They arrived on Monday and did a great job! No back ups since.

I probably called around 11:15 am and they sent a technician to my home around 12:00 pm. I was nervous it might be our main line as that was always the culprit at our previous home in Richfield ( we used DC Annis there as well), but he soon deducted that it was food that was backing up the drain as the kitchen sink and garbage disposal are right above it on the main floor. The technician shared that in Burnsville, I should not worry about tree roots at our current home and to avoid using the garbage disposal - as convenient as it is - as it’s usually the culprit of backed up floor drains.

Excellent service from this company. The plumber I called does not snake out main sewer lines. He did, however, recommend that I call D.C. Annis for the best job at the best price. When I made the appointment, I was told up front what the charges would be. Rob showed up on time and was both personable and knowledgeable. He got right to work, solved our problem, and explained the issues clearly when he was done. I hope I will not need to have the main snaked again, but If I do, I will call D.C. Annis

Classic situation--did a load of wash and ended up with a pool of water/sludge on the floor and water still filling the laundry tub. Phoned D.C. Annis first thing in the morning and they lined someone on their team up before we could even have the area straightened up a bit so they could do the clean out. Rob arrived on time, explained what was happening, what he found and provided prompt, spotless service. He even cleaned up some of the area around the drain that we hadn't gotten too. Also offered to do both the main cleanout and the secondary cleanout for a fraction of the cost. Glad he did because it too was clogged almost its whole length. Couldn't be happier and would DEFINITELY recommend and use them again!

Went fast, and not cheap. Took 10-15 minutes for $137 dollars. For that much per hour, they could have asked me if I had any other drains that needed attention, or offered to scope the main for me. After all it was $145 for the first Hour at least I had a coupon for 5% off; and at least it done. Good job, not sure about the work ethic though.
